Are you implying LSU will be 2,000 below capacity? If so, I'm going to have to question your intelligence.

Not at all. I'm sure it will be packed, but you have to account for the visiting fans.

bottom line is that Bama is NOT putting 31 pts up on LSU. Within regulation time, it is NOT going to happen.

Ah yeah that makes sense. No one ever thinks about that so I have to give you some props for it.

It's absolutely possible. Keep saying it's not going to happen, but it is absolutely possible.

Put it this way, it's way more likely Alabama puts up 31 on LSU than it is LSU putting 31 on Bama.

How were the crowds @OM, Ark, and UT?

They were all very loud and rowdy....until they weren't.

The key at UT was that they got the crowd out of it pretty early. LSU needs to start strong if they want to prevent that.

I'll take "no shite" for $1000 Alex

This is the best bama offense we've faced ever(?) and this is the best defense LSU Has had since 2011. It's not on 2011's level but it's damn good, very fast and strong at each level.

Should be a fun game because I think the defense will keep the crowd into the game. LSU has to win a 24-20 type of game

Not sure why you'd think that. Miles and Cam are gone and our D is beastly. Didn't Ole miss put up 42 on you?

I'll agree that Bama will be the best overall defense that LSU has played to this point.

LSU 31
Bama 17

To answer the question on Hurts. you can try to recreate the effects of TS with sound effects or noise machines, but when you have over 100,000 screaming fans, who'd love nothing more than to see your complete destruction on the field you lose a sense of yourself and force mistakes

This is what im talking about. People love to say its overrated..... they are compensating for their nervousness or are just ignorant. It's intimidating for one thing. And for another, like someone else said, it pumps up yalls team like nothing ive ever seen.

Ole Miss runs a completely different offense than LSU. Ole Miss relies on one dude, Chad Kelly, to make an offense run. This is why the transitive property fails.

LSU is playing an Alabama 2009-2012 offense right now as their system. It's effective. Hell it's damn effective. But if there's something that Alabama can stop, it's that exact offense. Power run games, moderate QB play.

Contrast that to Chad Kelly or Austin Allen slinging 50/50 balls on every down including 4th down. A weakness of Alabama's. But to think your offense can replicate what theirs did is not very smart.

i didn't say that, but at the same time this isn't the same LSU offense you've been playing either.

i'm not saying either team is likely to score 31 on the other bc i dont think either will. But I also don't think one team is "more likely" to do it than the other either. Arnada is no joke.

I've been to a lot of venues. None of them compare to Tiger Stadium under the lights

So have I, including 3 or 4 at TS under the lights. If their defense is playing well, it will be rowdy and will probably affect a few plays. Mostly false starts by the OL. Hurts has shown all year that not much, if anything, rattles him. He got nearly decapitated in Oxford and bounced back. He had a costly INT in Knoxville and bounced back. He fumbled the first snap of his college career in Dallas and bounced back.

He'll be fine.

My buddy said Arkansas was crazy loud in the lower bowl. Neyland was getting pumped up after thier lone TD but Hurts responded well and they struggle to get fired up after that

To think Tiger Stadium at night be not negatively impact Hurts is just dumb. Kid already struggles throwing the ball. Does it give LSU this huge advantage? No, but if certainly makes things harder of Hurts.

You're not the only one that's been to tiger stadium dude. When you watch your team live winning a game in the final minute, twice, it kind of blows the mystique theory out of the water. It's a very loud stadium. Didn't stop Alabama from executing with ruthless precision when the game was on the line in the last two trips though. Perhaps you were intimidated, it was just noise to me.

Exactly. Those saying he's handling trips to Oxford, TN, and Arkansas just don't understand the animal that is TS.

We don't use noiseless shakers for a neat little effect or "spirit fingers." LSU fans stomp, scream, cheer, and hate. We do the latter very well.

Hurts can prepare himself all he wants. Saban already knows you can't mentally prepare yourself. He's a freshman and TS has the ability to make him look like just that.
