To think Tiger Stadium at night be not negatively impact Hurts is just dumb. Kid already struggles throwing the ball.

Being a few negligible decibels louder isn't going to affect how he throws the ball.

Assuming you are talking about 2012 and 2014

2014 wasn't anywhere near bama's level. That was sheer force of Will that kept LSU in that game

2012 well....frick you chavis

LSU fans are oddly offended by shakers

And to be fair they've handed out towels before the last 2 bama games in TS

5th year Senior in TS

Vs

Redshirt Freshman

Good lord indeed.

Going up against a defense that's given up only 8 TD's all year and hasn't allowed more than 21 pts.

No but it will affect a check at the line. It could cause the oline to jump making down and distance harder on him. It also tends to rattle QBs. Alot of pretty good QBs have come into this stadium and had a rough go.

Hurts is a true freshman.

Bottom line is he's been on a big stage in intimidating environments a few times already this season, and handled them all very well. The crowd noise could have an impact on the game, mostly with communication from the sideline and the OL getting false starts. It may even force Hurts into a mistake or two. But the stage isn't going to be too big for him. He'll be fine.

It's absolutely possible. Keep saying it's not going to happen, but it is absolutely possible. Put it this way, it's way more likely Alabama puts up 31 on LSU than it is LSU putting 31 on Bama.

It is possible. If LSU gets behind and has to start pressing. If the defense gets worn down like last year. If special teams lays an egg. If we give up non offensive TDs.

I think if LSU plays a clean game (no more than 1 TO, no NOTs, under 80 yards in penalties), then both teams are under 31 unless it goes to OT. That will be a very difficult task, though.

Well, it is a freshman that has shown more poise than the 5th year senior has up to this point. If Hurts hasn't been rattled by what's happened to him so far, then TS isn't going to phase him.

I have no worries about his mental toughness. Also, tiger stadium at night is the most overrated thing in all of sports. Only thing intimidating us the possibilty of having to fight a bunch of drunk cajuns on the way out. Bama is a dominating road team once again this year

How would you rank the opposing stadiums you've been to as a Bama fan? I've only been to auburn ole miss and bama for away games.

I'd say Bama seemed about the same as LSU, Auburn slightly less, and ole miss below both.

Maybe im just a pussy. I dont think so, but who knows. I love TS at night. It's what college football is and is the closest thing to Bryant Denny to my heart in that respect. I still get chills when I walk into BDS though and I cant count the number of games ive attended. Maybe I just let the atmosphere overtake me more than others. But I also enjoy that aspect of not always being overconfident. I like being nervous about a game and about its atmosphere. Means there's electricity in the air and something big is about to go down.

On the TSIO in the first time Tennessee has had a good record in a decade? It was close.

You're not the only one that's been to tiger stadium dude. When you watch your team live winning a game in the final minute, twice, it kind of blows the mystique theory out of the water. Perhaps you were intimidated, it was just noise to me.

Well for starters those Bama teams were much better than those LSU teams. You can't completely ignore the first 59 minutes in both of those games when Bama under-performed. Also, Chavis did not play aggressively in those final minutes. When you have a crowd feeding you energy like that, you can't be passive. Finally, in 2014 if we don't have that penalty, you probably don't go down the field and score a TD.... But to each his own.

That being said, Kiffen does a great job with his QBs in environments like these. I guarantee his first 10 passes will be WR screens, flares, swing passes, little underneath shite, etc.

Ummmmm...I know Sims' light switch turned on for the last drive of the game and OT, but he was hot garbage most of the rest of that game. The first three and half quarters were right there with the OM game as the worst Bama played that season.

But, you have to give Sims for pulling himself together when it counted. Just don't act like he walked into TS and was a world beater the entire game.

Have you ever been to TS? Bama has also never dominated LSU in BR.

Idc where he's played and the poise he's shown.

He's a freshman and he's Not faced anything like the hate he's going to endure.

Shrug it off by all means.

The only ones I haven't been to are USC, A&M, and Mizzou.

I would put BDS, Tiger Stadium, Florida, Neyland, Samford, and Jordan Hare all on the same level. They are all interchangeable to me.
