This bears mentioning again:
LSU had a home-only series with A&M that they dominated throughout the 1960s. A&M won in '74 -- and then crushed them in BR in '75 -- and LSU cancelled the series.
Fast forward to the mid-80s. A&M just starting to come into their own as a football program, and LSU looking for some cheap OOC wins. Schedules a home-and-home, and does well -- winning four of the first five.
Then 1991 hits, and tDecline starts. LSU begins each season getting tee'd-off upon by the Ags, culminating in the game on September 2nd, 1995. After their fifth consecutive loss, LSU AGAIN cancels the series, renegs on playing the scheduled games in '96 and '97, and stiffs A&M on the penalty fee for cancelling the series.
So A&M has made LSU quit twice in the last 40 years. So sorry that quitting the series isn't an option anymore...

Funny how LSU didn't try to get out of contracts with USC, FSU or Notre Dame around the same time frames.
It's also funny how you call getting to the end of a ten-year contract (1986-1995) "cancelling the series".
Oh and here's your fee...

I'll get back to this in November, when it's relevant.

It is funny, because with the exception of a home-and-home with FSU in '89/'90 (which you lost both of), you literally did not play any of those three teams continuously during the span of 1986-1995.

That, my dumb friend, is an absolute fact. The '96 and '97 games were already scheduled.

The likelihood that the OP was born in that under 4 week timeframe was a risk I was willing to take when posting. Pretty sure I was right.

Here's what you said:

LSU played Nebraska in 1976, Oregon in '77, USC in '79, FSU in '80, Notre Dame in '81, FSU in '82, FSU in '83, USC in '84, and Notre Dame in '85.

You're not too smart, I'm talking about the years LSU DIDN'T play A&M. You seem to be implying that LSU cancelled the series with A&M to get an easier schedule, I'm saying the schedules got tougher after the series ended with the aggies. Although it is true that LSU also played other tougher games OOC besides the aggies during the term of the contract from 86-95, like FSU, Miami and Ohio State.

LSU AGAIN cancels the series, renegs on playing the scheduled games in '96 and '97
And played Notre Dame in '97 and '98.
What you are obscuring from any inquiring minds is that LSU upgraded their SEC schedule by going from 7 to 8 games by adding Arkansas - who, by the way, holds the all-time series lead over the aggies.
That's why the 2-game series in 96-97 was cancelled, we upgraded by adding Arkansas. It's also funny how A&M was happy with the terms of LSU cancelling the 2 game series - up until they lost to the replacement team - USL.
God you aggies are stupid.
