I was at that game...it was hot as hell. I think it was something like 102* in the stadium with little wind. The Ags were ranked pretty high and we were unranked. Our studs had a rough game and Leland McElroy ran all over us.
They had a nice run against us from 91-95.

Oh, and you may have jinxed us because someone started a similar thread about the UF/UT rivalry and UF got spanked.

I'm old enough to remember that game considering I was there; it was hot as frick, and the tigers absolutely wilted under the heat and Wrecking Crew pressure.

I'm also old enough to remember how irrelevant LSU was before they lucked out hiring by Saban. Still felt good to kick the shite out of them to begin the season.

Also, despite the high points to begin and end the '95 campaign, that was one of the most disappointing seasons in A&M football history. Don't bring it up again.

if we were so irrelevant why do we own the frick out of y'all? highly embarrassing to be so far behind in the overall series vs such a program

28. And before that 27, 26, 25, 24, 22, and 18 (my freshman year). I'm not sure I get your point, young man.

Easy, because most of the games have been played in Baton Rouge. A&M made LSU quit after the '95 game, making it 5 in a row and 6 out of the last 10 from when the rivalry resumed in '86. Unfortunately for LSU and their 5 game winning streak, A&M won't back out due to convenience. That's sissy stuff programs like LSU and UTw do.

It's also funny how you call getting to the end of a ten-year contract (1986-1995) "cancelling the series".

From a New Orleans source.

[link=(New Orleans source)]https://www.nola.com/lsu/index.ssf/2011/01/lsu_texas_am_to_rekindle_rich.html[/link]:

"Texas A&M contributed to the LSU woes in that stretch. LSU won the 1990 meeting, but the Aggies took the next five, which also were the last five games between the schools before LSU cancelled the series with two games remaining after the 1995 game in College Station."

Eh... going into the '95 game, you have to go back to the 60's for LSU to lead the series. You really want to do that?

I get that LSU has won 5 straight with only one missed year. That's a good bragging point, and though I think A&M will win this year, 5 times is long enough that I need to see it to really believe it. But the OP's question was just plain stupid, especially considering that there's a 16-yr stretch after that game when the team's didn't play. He should maybe probably kinda sorta get a break for being a minor. I guess.
