Dobbs went 4-1 down the stretch last year. He was playing with a shite OL and injured skill position players. Our defense was banged up, and UT's lack of depth caught up too them during Dobbs' end of the season run. It isn't his fault he didn't play many teams worth a shite. He just went .800 against teams on the schedule

Maty Mauk is 14-3 (.823, including 2-0 vs Dobbs) as a starter but most UT (actually most members of the board) blow him off as a non-factor. So does the record matter or only when you are propping up Dobbs due to lack of any other reasons.

Do you know why he posts so much about TN? Just very weird. If you take a look at his post history, it's almost comical.

Maybe recently, bc you're an easy target right now honestly. The combination of tennessee hype and lack of any reasoning for it beyond hope makes you easy pickings.

Stop trying to legitimatize your QB. He sucks everyone knows it

It's butch's fault JD played crap teams... or if you believe his coachspeak bullshite, it's Dobbs fault bc he sucks in practice. And it's Spurriers fault for all this ridiculous UT hype this offseason... if USCe doesn't choke, vols don't go bowling and blow out a hapless iowa team.

Remind me again how Butch Jones' job rides on Riley Ferguson's shoulders.

2-0 vs Tennessee and Dobbs.

More wins against Florida than Dobbs, Worley, Bray, Crompton, Ainge and whatever other shitty Tenn QB's I am forgetting combined.

Truly a terrible QB. Obviously, Maty Mauk is better.

Really?

Head to head...
2013 Mauk 3 Pass TD, 143 Pass Yd, 113 YD Rush, 0 INT
Dobbs 0 TD, 240 Pass YD, 43 yards rush, 2 INT

2014 Mauk 2 Pass TD, 230 Pass Yd, 31 YD Rush, 0 INT
Dobbs 1 Pass TD, 195 Pass Yd, 13 YD Rush, 1 INT

Hmmm... I guess he passed for more yards in one of the games?

Mauk and Dobbs have started two games against each other. In those two games Mauk had 393 passing yards on 50 attempts, 5 TDs, 0 INTs, and 145 rushing yards. Dobbs had 435 passing yards on 79 attempts, 1 TD, 3 INT, and 48 rushing yards.

I wasn't talking about Dobbs, He doesn't have a body of work to compare to Mauk yet. He's started 4 games. The other guys you mentioned blow Mauk out of the water.

You are a Tenn fan? I know very little about your team and know Dobbs has started far more than 4 games.

What does head to head stats matter? Was Dobbs playing defense against Mauk, and vice versa?

Mauk has ten conference wins starting all of last season and four games in 2013. Tennessee has ten conference wins the last five seasons.

Youre right man, Mauk is a better QB. I bet he will win more postseason awards and will get drafted higher, wouldn't you agree?

Dobbs has been sold as this "up and coming" QB who is about to enter his Junior year (not redshirt freshman which would seem more up and coming) just like Mauk. The only stat they like to quote about Dobbs (because the rest suck so far) is the 4-1 stretch run last season. Mauk had close to 4000 yds passing and 36-15 TD/INT ratio. I can compare those stats as well.

Who knows? Likely 0-0 for both but since Mizzou is the only one making postseason runs under these QB's maybe Mauk will pull out a postseason award?

Making postseason runs? Don't know if that's how I would describe losing in the SECCG back to back years.

Getting to the SECCG means nothing if you don't win it.
