Jalen is a better passer than Nick Marshall, though not as good of a runner, and not as much "quick twitch"

Stats are actually closer than I thought but yards per attempt, passing yards per game and passing QBR all lean towards Marshall per Fox Sports statistics.

I would be interested to see statistics with the jet sweeps taken out. Technically they're forward passes, but only because the ball travels forward in the air about 2 feet. For all practical purposes, it's a running play, but it's counted as a pass.

You know there is a vast area between what you just described and Jalen being a bum that needs to be benched, right?

I've never said Jalen is a bum. He was our best QB last year (probably).
However, this year, we have a better QB behind him who - yes, needs experience - but has a higher potential. We have a good enough team to balance his inevitable growing pains, but I believe he's our best bet to win a natty this year and beyond

Fair and accurate imo.

So can my reasons for wanting to trade Sean White for Hurts, and seeing what he could do with Auburn's offense stand?

Better get your arse to work then. A pass is a pass.

Saban needs to play Tua some more, just work him in (and not at mop-up time). Hurts makes great decisions and is like catching a greased pig. So he is a mismatch for most defenses. But, if Bama is smart they will play Tua in every game to get him some reps, real-game experience.

WAIT, why am I trying to help out the dark side...lol...

As much as we might bicker back and forth, I actually agree with your assessment of Hurts 100%, however I think we should play Tua now, and get him ready for when we'll need a passing game to win.

I'm much more reasonable than my inflammatory online persona might suggest

I'm not disagreeing, but Nick was inconsistent. His long ball for some reason seemed to be good.

He had a cannon for an arm and couldn't turn it off. His long ball was pretty though.

I'm convinced. Let's make the Stoned Cam for Hurts trade now.

No way - Fromm will be better than Hurts by the end of the year. He's already a better passer.

Lol no fricking way. Hurts running ability puts him way over the top of Fromm.

bama's passing is so inconsistent...it is ridiculous.

Some bad high schools throw for more yards than bama...we ONLY HAD 50 YDS at half-time against a&m.

Half of our fan base is retarded. Not too sure about the half sometimes either.

I don't know if I would trade Stidham for Hurts, but I wouldn't mind having him. He would be a good fit for what Gus likes.

Seriously what does he solve for lsu?

Another QB that can't pass. Hurts is a winner because he plays for a fantastic team and program

If he was at lsu now he would be another QB that cants pass and would be made fun of on the rant....
