Debatable. I know we lose Haha, but we gain experience at cornerback. Saban corners seldom look good in their first year. Second year is when they shine. We lose Belue, but he wasn't lighting the world on fire especially since he played through injury most of last year. Plus we have Kirby Smart coaching them, and he is superior to Greg Brown's coaching in every way. I'm not saying better. I think by the time we get to the meat of the schedule we will be the same level as last year.

We lose Mosley which sucks. Ragland had a fantastic spring and should be able to step in, albeit not as amazing as Mosley, and Depriest will also have a breakout year. He was solid at the end of last year. Plus we get to replace Hubbard who took so many plays off. I'm calling this group a wash.

No arguments here.

They could be far and away the best in the land in 2014 and not measure up to 2011

But they will be damn good this year.
With that being said, I think 2015 is the year to shoot for with this defense.

I, along with many others just believe bama's run is over. Miami's lasted a few years, USCw lasted a few years, and bama's likely will too. It's too hard to sustain that for long just because of the talent throughout college fb

How many losses do you see Bama having this year?
Three tops. One most likely.

What you don't think Saban would've brought Bo Davis back and forced Chris Rumph out if he didn't think it was an upgrade? Rumph had a ridiculously talented DL last year at Bama, Bo had an extremely young DL at Texas and still had the leader and 2nd player in their conference in sacks
He knows his fricking technique and playing DL for a 3-4 D is all about technique and hand placement
I never said I thought it would EQUAL 2011 this year maybe next year the talent is pretty damn close

2015 will be a nasty defense but this version will be great too. A Saban defense hasn't finished outside first in the SEC since 2007.

Believe it all you want but there's too much damn talent on the roster for anything to be over. Saban hasn't forgotten how to coach since winning three national titles.

Far from over
Miami had a terrible coach who couldn't recruit one bit that run them into the ground
USCw's coach left and was hit with sanctions
Neither one of those situations are even remotely close then add to that the fact that Bama has recruited extremely well and sustained it

Auburn stands in the way, though, so we will see.

I typed that out as a reaction to your 1st comment not the later comment about the DL

Idk Bama will probably be back on probation again within the next 2-3 years. I expect them to win another natty within the next 3 years though
I'll believe Bama having a dominant DL when I see it in the field. We hear it every year.

Three losses: Florida, LSU and Auburn with a couple toss ups if Coker is not the answer.
One thing is for sure, the margin of victory for Alabama will be considerably smaller this year.
