From what I've seen this year, he'll be lucky to get drafted

I don't think either of these teams are anywhere near the talent level of the 2011 squads.

Oh, I agree as far as the 22 starters are concerned, but the 85 man roster is just as talented as it has ever been, especially at LSU. I wouldn't know enough about Alabama's depth to say one way or the other.

The talent on the ROSTERS for The Game of the Century was insane:

ALABAMA

Ha Ha Clinton-Dix

C.J. Mosley

Dee Milliner

Chance Warmack

D.J. Fluker

Trent Richardson

Marquis Maze

Mark Barron

Dre Kirkpatrick

Dont'a Hightower

Eddie Lacy

Courtney Upshaw

Landon Collins

Kevin Norwood

Nico Johnson

Barrett Jones

AJ McCarron

Vinnie Sunseri

LSU

Eric Reid

Morris Claiborne

Michael Brockers

Zach Mettenburger

Michael Ford

Ego Ferguson

Jarvis Landry

Kevin Minter

Rueben Randle

Brad Wing

Bennie Logan

Tyrann Mathieu

Craig Loston

Ronald Martin

Anthony “Freak” Johnson

Russell Shepard

La’el Collins

James Wright

Sam Montgomery

Brandon Taylor

Ron Brooks

Lamin Barrow

Tharold Simon

Lavar Edwards

Alfred Blue

Spencer Ware

Odell Beckham

Barkevious Mingo

Reuben Foster - ILB

Is Reuben Foster the one that was trying to make sure someone, be it him or the guy he hit, would be carried off in a stretcher on special teams last year? If it's the same guy I'm thinking of, I hope he's fixed his technique just a little because the NFL will get him killed.

But he was fun to watch, I'll give him that.

I guess I can add him too. I don't think of him as a high-end talent guy, but a lot of that is probably because of our passing game in 2014. He gets a ton of targets though, and if things continue to improve in the passing game, I can see him getting there.

WalterFootball has him as a 2-3 Round projection for 2017, and that was as of July 2015.

I agree because all the exceptional players are so young on LSU. Next year LSU may legitimately have 3-5 first round picks. Depending on who leaves and doesn't.

You do realize that the NFL does draft on potential a lot of the time right?

All game. About 20 overall. Is this a bet thread to be bumped in 4 years?

Yeah, I'd take Godchaux over Dural as a potential 1st rounder. I don't think Dural has a shot at being a 1st rounder.

He was a fricking human battering ram. It was the craziest, scariest thing to see. That's why he took so long to see consistent PT at LB. He's much more disciplined and finally has a good grasp of the playbook.

Right now, he's a fantastic run stopper, and is average in pass coverage. He's ability to improve in the later will dictate his draft round. But the bust talk from rivals has stopped. And considering how his recruitment went down, that says a lot. I mean, he has an Auburn tattoo, if that sheds any light to the uninformed.

Probably true, but Pocic should/could be the #1 center in his class, and some of these OGs are young and may move to OT as they progress. I just put their current positions.

Pocic will be a Tackle in the NFL and should be drafted as such.

Really think so? Obviously that is where the money is, but that is one helluva transition from center to tackle IMO.

LSU's starters are more talented than 2011.

QB 15
TE & FB Even
RB 15
WR 15 (RR was quality but OBJ was weak as a freshman)
Oline 15 (every single lineman is better than 11)
Dline 11
LB 15
DB 11

You left off Dural. Not the deepest WR class in the world after Treadwell and Doctson, so he could feasibly slip in, and I think he can have the combine to do it.

Yea our offense was somewhat fraudulent. Our defense hid it very well for almost an entire season.

Ah, yes, now I know exactly who we're talking about. The man discouraged from joining a happy interracial Family by Dismukes.

It's good he's gotten his aggression under control. His hits were impressive but a little discipline goes a long way, especially in a Saban-coached defense.
