That sounds like an awesome arse day dude, and I totally understand If I was going to a game with my dad and we're having a good time but our team lost then that will definitely not trump the time I spent with my dad. I generally just wanted to ask someone but thanks a lot for giving an honest answer dude and I hope you and your dad have more great experiences like that in the future, hopefully not in the expense of Alabama losing though

It was. I can remember coming up as a fan of LSU on the tail end of 30 years of losing home games to Alabama. Think about that. As a program we have won 4 SEC Titles, played for five, be co champions at least six in the West, won two National Titles and played for a 3rd...and that's in the past 15 years.

Yet I can remember not having beaten Alabama in Tiger Stadium in 30 years. Fast forward a few years and we beat Alabama five straight years from 2003-2007. Since then we are 2-6 with 5 straight losses.

The worm will turn and we will start dominating again. Sooner than later IMO.

I say this and I point to our OL/DL recruiting. Bay Bay and Grimes have few peers, and LSU has lost in the trenches under Chavis and Steele on both sides. On top of that, LSU's current Senior Class is the 1st of 4 straight (soon to be 5) Top 5 Recruiting Classes.

Its definitely going to be a competitive game thats for sure, I hate playing in Tiger Stadium but with the talent we got coming back on offense I can't help but feel confident in our odds. I believe our QB play is gonna surprise a lot of people, if Kiffin can do magic with a converted RB and a career backup then the sky is the limit on what he can actually do with this crop of QBs.

LSU has never dominated the series. Not since I was born anyway, and I'm no spring chicken. 5 years during the 4 year Shula regime and St. Nick Saban's first year certainly doesn't count as "domination" and I'm pretty sure we won't hire a Mike Shula type again in my lifetime.

With the astronomical amount of money Bama pours into football, they should always be the best. More people on staff, more money spent solely on football, fans that have no other competing pro sport team to spend their money on... You should be highly embarrassed any season you don't win a championship.

Seriously bro. I have neither the time nor the inclination to argue petty semantics with someone looking for a reaction on a message board. Now run along...you've got your nightly Flowmax and Metamucil chaser to pound out if you're gonna hit the Craftmatic Adjustable before Mee Maw changes into her bedtime Mu Mu...

I await with baited breath your sternly worded retort. In fact, I've contacted several counsellors and mental health professionals in advance of it to ensure whatever deep emotional scars said retort leaves upon my tattered psyche are immediately dealt with in order to somehow be able to move on with my daily struggle to somehow continue homeostasis.

Random opinions expressed on a sparsely moderated Internet forum being something that carries a deep and abiding emotional weight for me on a psychological level.

ETA - That punctuation was downright Hispanoblando Brah. The exclamation at the front of the sentence and then again at the end? The lack of any periods signifying the end of one complete thought and the beginning of the next? Strong work, brah. Strong work indeed....

Miles does it. All by himself. With no help from anyone else. Through the sheer force of his own, folksy-flavored will.

Dude...Ron Zook was a recruiting Dynamo. He could close like a mofo. He just couldn't really coach his way out of a wet Golden Flake Potato Chip Bag. He sucked as a coach in reality. But does that mean I have to deny his recruiting ability? Hell no.

If you can't delineate that recruiting ability and actual coaching capability are dynamic when paired together and yet neither a total given or mutually exclusive for coaches at the SEC Level of CFB, well snowflake...you are just precious, aren't you?

You can recruit and not be able to coach. You can coach but not be able to recruit. Being great at one and not the other-either coaching or recruiting-can still lose games and lose jobs.

Can you grasp that, brochacho?

No. I blacked out while watching Naked and Afraid XL. Did my dog rake her damn paws over my iPad Mini Retina display AGAIN? Dammit...

(ETA: Had to correct the impersonal pronoun up there from his to her; that bitch gets mad when I don't get that kinda thing right)

So your comparison for Miles is Zook? You really want to go there? Lol

Who hires these coaches on the LSU staff that you champion?

Is Miles some coaching savant? No. But he has beat quite a few fine coaches and programs.

Including Saban, Meyer, and Kelly

No. I used Zook as an example of coaches who had recruiting ability that weren't good coaches. I think it's obvious Les is a better coach than Zook. Les has only been almost fired once. Zook has been actually fired. Twice.

That doesn't mean I think Les is a great coach. He absolutely is not. I also think he's a far greater recruiter than Zook. That doesn't mean I think he's a great coach either. Because you can be a great coach, or a great recruiter, or both, or neither.

This concept seems to confuse you. But I'm sure when dolts try to explain stuff you often get confused. So that's on me.

My bad.

I said nice things about two coaches. They are good. I think they are recruiting and developing kids well so far. But championing? That's your word hoss. Not mine.

I addressed that. Feel free to go back and read. But try real hard. We agree more than we disagree. I think I have a tad bit more objectivity and DGAF-itivity than you do. At least this evening anyway.

I'm confused. I know. Color you shocked. But who is the Kelly you speak of?

Damn. Burger King had a scratch-off contest. Second place was a three year starting gig at LSU. Harris won it fair and square. Did you even try to use the search function?
