How in the hell did Brandon Harris become LSUs QB?

He's mediocre at everything. He's only completing 54% of his passes and rushing for 4.1 yards per carry. There are hundreds of QBs just like Harris at small schools all around the country. He's average at best. I'm sure he's a nice guy who does his best but - REALLY? The starting QB for LSU?

You...are..a...moron. Is that what you were searching for? Are you happy now that you're viewed as a mongoloid? 1) He has a rocket for an arm. 2) He came in and slaughtered New Mexico State when Jennings was playing so badly the fans were about to riot. 3) His overall numbers include a lot of bad numbers when he was injured. 4) Subtract the injury numbers and he's still no Johnny Football, and has gotten a number of his receivers/ends taken out of games with high throws, but nobody in the SEC fires bullets faster than he does, so the coaches are hoping for the usual improvement that comes with experience. Now, stop posting if you're as brainless as you seem.

I wouldn't count him out just yet. The physical tools are all there for him to be a very good QB. He just needs to develop.

Nobody is worried about LSU bro. It's just pretty amusing that you guys have such a poor quarterback.

Bama posters are whiny turds. They can dish it out but can't take it. They RA any thread with criticism of their crooked program.

You've been extremely kind for too long now if that were the case.

From an outsider. He has always had tremendous arm talent and some elusiveness. He was always an attractive QB prospect and was recruited by almost every major program.
I know he was a 3* talent when recruited early by A&M. Most teams wanted him as a back-up, but his camp started pushing for him to be the only QB taken in his respective class, so most schools backed off of him at that point.
LSU probably had to rush him onto the field because of issues with Jennings on and off the field.

Damn. You really ARE losing sleep over LSU.

If I remember right, Hugh Freeze went after both Jeremy Johnson and Brandon Harris pretty hard. Glad we missed out on those two. Would have meant no Swag Kelly.

Harris has a long way to go in becoming a QB that displays all the necessary skills to lead a team to a Championship.
Most LSU fans could care less how hard and/or far he can throw a football. We want to see an efficient and effective short-medium passing game and there's no guarantee that he can improve enough in that area, only hope that he can can.
(BTW, do you think you can discuss football on here without all the juvenile name calling?)

The word around the campfire is that he suffered a sports hernia injury at some point during the Alabama game. I didn't notice because with Less running single receiver routes on 3rd down on his own side of the field in obvious passing down/distance scenarios in the first half, I knew his stupefying pride and a-hole pucker factor when it comes to the very idea that perhaps you might have to throw it to soften up the LOS versus that Bama DL was such that I made the decision to lose the plot in an effort to find the bottom of a bottle of Bourbon.
I'd seen that same dumbass game plan versus Bama live. In person. It was January 9th, 2012. He'd rather have his shite pushed in than try to win the game.
But in all honesty, the word is that the injury is something that-while he played through it-definitely affected his accuracy. It was confirmed he had the surgery in the offseason. But no one around the program will confirm when it happened.
My personal opinion is that Less doesn't GAF about the passing game, keeps it incredibly basic, doesn't rep it in practice, and has forgotten about the short and medium throws. His idea of the short passing game is a screen. The seam route for a TE is considered something they're probably still perfecting in Area 51 in a classified hangar or some shite.
But there's no doubt that Harris didn't have much chance to work on short throws which require accuracy, and an injury affected said accuracy. Also, thanks to Less' gross incompetence, he wouldn't rep Harris consistently in 2014 to get him a bit more polished than he was in advance of 2015. So that's why we saw him so raw last year.
Which almost cost him his job...Unfortunately for LSU Fans, he spoke only lip service in changing and opening to new ideas and more balance. The Spring and the Offseason gave us no hope for that and he has only made comments about the QB improving do to experience which means we will be better.
Still stubborn. Still playing elite talent down towards inferior talent with superior coaching. Still trying to win with defense instead of winning by whatever means necessary.
Not sure if you can tell by my post...but I'll be glad when he's gone. Just sorry the a-hole wasted such a bevy of talented skill position players who came through our program on offense for the better part of the last decade.
