It is not out of the realm of possibilities for LSU, or any other SEC school for that matter, to leave the SEC. It probably won't happen in my lifetime , but anything is possible. I do know this, if Bama continues to call the shots in this league the way they do, the rumblings will get louder and louder. And not just from LSU. I sense that the LSU athletic dept. is getting pretty fed up with it. The schedule for next year is absurd. It needs to stop.

Not very. If the SEC lost LSU they would take back Tulane and in 10 years the Green Wave would own the state.

LSU is very important to the conference but it would only hurt LSU to leave as it would any other SEC school. The money we split in the conference evenly among all teams is insane. Leaving the SEC would be the most foolish thing anyone could ever do.

Yeah....we would own the west and our path to an NC would be easier.....LSU on the other hand would become completely irrelevant.....so I find it unbelievable that there are actually fans who really think its a good idea

No team is that important and with the right replacement every team is expendable. if I had to pick a team in the sec it would be a team with the largest viewing audience such as Florida and if they were replaced with an equal size market they wouldn't be missed either

It's about time the rest of you free loaders give LSU their due for the current success of the conference. In fact it's only because of us.
If we don't risk all to hire a nobody in Nick Saban, then there likely isn't an SEC streak ATM. No Saban means bama is on coach 3 for the decade.Without LSU winning Fulmer is still at UT having won the NC in 01. Bama hires RR, there is no expansion, Hogs are stuck with Nutt, and UF hires another dud. Richt would be ruling the SEC with a black fist.
You see without LSU you're all no one. Time to bow down to your superiors that risked it all to better their program, but in doing so changed the entire face and attitude of the SEC.
