LSU can't leave without Bama's permission anyway.

I would say they're as important as anyone else, if they were to leave (never happening) they would be replaced, but the balance would not be the same. Same thing for LSU, they could take their ball and run to the bigXII, but it wouldn't benefit them nearly as much as the SEC.

Florida is the most important school in the SEC.

Alabama, LSU, UGA, Tennessee are next.

Auburn.

Everybody else.

LSU is very important to the conference but it would only hurt LSU to leave as it would any other SEC school. The money we split in the conference evenly among all teams is insane. Leaving the SEC would be the most foolish thing anyone could ever do.

Why are you asking this dumb question? LSU is not going anywhere. Our fan base needs to get a grip! We are doing just fine!

UF is the largest state (outside of Texas now) in the SEC. You know how much those TV contracts would shrink without UF?

Florida is the most important school in the SEC, as I said above. Size, quality of the entire athletic program, academics, location, fanbase.

Not much since FSU or Miami would be invited to join the conference and pick up the slack quite nicely.

LSU is the SHITE in the New millennium!!!

Bama New Millennium Two NC

Florida Two NC

LSU has five (5) "New Millennium" Conference Championships to Bama's Two (2)

What the Fricke!!! if Bama is not allowed to play in the 2011 NC game then LSU possibly has (3) NC in the New Millennium!!! we are Boss Bitch!!! GEAUX TIGERS!!!

LSU is great for the SEC in my opinion.

They've had tremendous success in the big 3 sports. They have one of the, if not the, most historic and iconic stadiums in college football. They have a boastful, loud, colorful fanbase that no one can match.

The SEC is kind of ... boring without them.

Not much. Bama is much more important. Just ask the Birmingham based SEC headquarters.
