I think many had him in their top 5 SEC QBs coming into the season. Where do you have him now?

He is pretty damn good and getting better. I don't see many that I would trade him for.

He WAS a good runner and not so great passer. But, he's turning into a very good QB.

I think Arkansas has already seen the best QB they'll see all year. How good is Hurts? Not as good as the Rodgers kid from New Mexico State.

He's the reigning SEC offensive player of the year and it appears he's improved over where he was a year ago. I honestly believe that last year Barnett leaving allowed Jalen to get comfortable. He knows this year that if he starts regressing that Tua can come in and take his job. Fortunately Jalen has used that competition to get better.

He is a very good QB on a dominant team with the best talent in every game surrounding him.

When he finishes at Alabama, he will be a shitty NFL QB that never plays any significant minutes.

He is not a QB.

He is an athlete playing QB just like Nick Marshall.

I want to disagree with this, but I just can't. Very true thus far. If he is to be considered a great QB, he will have to learn to depend on his legs far less, become a better pocket passer, make decisions with the football more quickly.

I am NOT saying Tua should be starting over him, but Tua is a more gifted QB than Jalen is.

I don't disagree with you and if he asked who will be the best qb in the NFL I would have said between Stidham and From. He asked how good is Hurts. Hurts has highest qbr in conference, and is the leading rusher and passer on the team that has scored the most. As of right now in the SEC, Hurts is the most effective qb and it isn't even close.

We'd be going for #18 if we ran the ball 75% of the 2017 CFP National Title Game

He won't wow you with his passing game...but he's a smoother Manziel...JM played like he just did a speedrail out on the field...Hurts plays more like a joint kindof guy

He's as good as Saban needs, probably a little better, which means 3 more years of 10+ wins.

Disagree. No pro team is going to draft him to play quarterback and he couldn't cut it at running back either. I do think he would make a really good safety but that is another conversation.

I'm not sure what he has ever done to make you think he could play safety. Not trying to be mean, but where the frick did that come from.

Good thing Bama doesn't have a NFL team on the foreseeable schedule.

He's probably destined to be a coach anyway. He's smart. He's got the lineage. I don't care the first bit about the NFL, but, im glad he's at Bama.

Other SEC schools are allowed to claim NFL success as championships because they can't beat Bama now.

NFL = College (Especially to LSU fans)

He's in a great spot being Bama's QB. The defense and ST will always pick you up, the OL is well above average, the run game takes pressure off and opens everything else up, and you have great athletes at WR. If you're on such a good team, it's hard not to be at least decent. He's not asked to carry the team. It would be interesting to see him in a less favorable position.
