Way too early to be making these conclusions. The dude is 19 years old, of course he's not a finished product.
Nick Marshall played in an offense that was almost devoid of typical NFL passing concepts. They're nothing alike outside of both being fast.

Similar runners though Hurts has more top-end speed and Tebow used his power more. Hurts usually doesn't use his power unless he thinks he needs it: TD or first down, otherwise he runs out bounds or goes down easily. Neither have any quickness. Hurts has good vision and is strong as an ox, especially in the lower body.
IMO, Hurts is a better passer. He definitely has a much stronger arm and a much quicker release. He is improving significantly in reading defenses and seeing the field. Contrary to what some say, he has a definite shot at the NFL, though he must continue to improve his vision and decision-making.
Both are great leaders. Each time, without exception, that Bama has been threatened under Hurts, he has led them to a TD on the very next possession: OM, A&M, UT, Clemson, FSU. He is an amazing leader and a great performer in the clutch. Except for a brief time in the first half of the OM game, no team has had the lead and the ball while Hurts was QB.
With all of Bama's talent, IMO, he and his leadership are the primary reasons that Bama has a legitimate chance to win a championship this year. Though he has a cool exterior, he is driven and works like Saban. He was 17 when he was first battling for the job last fall camp; he just turned 19 in August.

Hurts has improved but I would more likely bet that Tagovailoa will eventually be the starter. He is getting a lot of playing time, and my bet is that he will probably be the starter by next season.

Hard to tell how good he is because Bama has so much more talent then everyone one else . Like Sims he is putting up great numbers because of the talent around him .

Using the only metric that matters, which is obviously fantrax fantasy football standard QB scoring total points, he is tied for 15th overall and tied for 1st overall in the SEC with N. Fitzgerald.

Hurts turned 19 in August. Plenty of time to develop and progress.
He has a really strong arm but he needs to develop some touch. At this point he's still a run first QB. If he wants an NFL career as a QB he's gonna need to rewire how his brain sees the field.
Possibly he could develop into a Donovan McNabb type QB. But at this point he's more likely on an Eric Crouch type career arch.

Very solid college QB. Probably not a NFL QB, but that's ok.
