The last thing a UT fan should bring up is affordability of anything when the athletic department in Knoxville is busy making it rain with $1 bills when UGA's able to spend by the millions and still have a surplus.

Where's the link with the financial status of each SEC school?

I'll try to find it.

No wonder mettenburger was the apparent starter back then. It all makes sense now.

LSU fans made this up, but I laughed. Well executed

The new indoor practice facility will feature a 100-yard field and will allow Auburn football, baseball, softball, soccer and track teams to practice indoors during inclement weather. Construction on the 92,000 square-foot, $12.5 million facility is expected to be completed by the fall of 2011.

It has rained a ton this summer.

And indoor practice facilities are used more for the lightning than rain aspect

This is the thing that irks many UGA fans. UGA pisses $12.5 million. UGA has the most profitable football program in the SEC. We spend the least of all the Big 6 teams + Arkansas and A&M. LINK

UGA's AD reserves are massive right now. Money is pouring in but not being put back into the program. I have no problem with the AD giving money back to the university, but it seems to me that the UGA AD is in a position where the bottom line is all that's important. That isn't its role.

I don't buy the space argument. There are two outdoor practice fields next to Butts-Mehre. Put a roof on one of them.

We don't need it because of the weather. We need it because we're recruiting head to head against 8-10 programs who are showing the willingness to devote way more resources to the football program.

We can both thank Foley for our lack of IPFs in a way.

I agree. It's about marketing. We need to up our housing too.

Foley is tight and money is not an issue.

Yep. McGarity went to the Foley School of Athletic Directing. It hasn't worked out as well for UGA yet.

The Dawgs have put more of an emphasis on their outdoor fields (which are extremely nice and used much more often than an indoor facility).

That said... it's a shame that we can't blow up our baseball stadium and put the ipf there.

Do not let the above poster on your board. You'd be better off with me unless you want a braggert Gump all up in your grills. If that's the case, let him in.

But not as flashy. That's important, though some don't want to admit it.

You have plenty of support. I think the holdup is with the admins. I don't think the UGA board has it's own mods, at least I don't know who they are.

Hmmm, maybe I have him confused with another Gump. They all look the same to me.
