MiamiU needs to build an on campus 60k seat stadium for starters

LOL.

1) The City of Coral Gables wants no part of 60k Miami fans in their city.
2) They are too poor.
3) There aren't 60k Miami fans

Miami job tough place to win these days but Kiffin would be the right man for the job.

truth. SC is a good job. Good money, good location, right in the middle lots of talent and low expectations.

Green arrow and I agree ... except for the low expectations part.

SC has every bit the expectations to win championships, if not more, than does Arkansas.

We're just a very focused, very patient lot ... within reason. We expect hard work and effort.

What's funny is that this is very likely true. Who would have thought that 15 years ago?

SCAR fans.

What would really fry your noodle (brain) is knowing where we expect to be 15 years from now.

With our population base steadily growing and with SEC money and the conference behind us we'll soon own the South Atlantic region. It's just a matter of time now. Spurrier built up the facilities and proved we could win big. This next hire is important, no doubt.

The sad part is, all the above is 100% true.

I think Al Golden will make SEC a fine coach.

He can start immediately.

Sounds like something the Vols would do.

And why not? There's no reason South Carolina shouldn't be a great program, on par with the other great ones in the SEC.

There's a roadblock in Georgia, but no reason you can't own all the way up the coast to DC or so.

They always are. A bad one can set you back years. Just ask, well, pretty much any fan base anywhere.

These are probably the two lowest things on a coaches priority sheet when it comes to taking a head coaching position. A coach will first look at money, then the ability to sustain a successful program through recruiting which will lead to more money. That is going to be hard to do with so many teams poaching the talent out of South Florida. You can add location to that list as well. While South Beach has the name recognition and flair, it's not a place a lot of people want to spend the majority of their life. Take Dan Mullen for example, he's making 4 million a year. In Starkville, that's like 40 million. In South Beach, that's 1 month's rent

I think USCe coaching decision hinges on the OSU-Sparty game. If OSU wins...I really think Dantonio will jump. EL is not a place you want to spend the rest of your career.

MSU has about topped out ..after this year..they will be perennial 3rd place B1G East (maybe 4th if PSU progresses).
He can be 2nd or 3rd SEC East alot easier.

Spurrier took far less $$ than what he commanded..he turned it down. USCe is not use to paying SEC coach type $$ (yet).

Only thing..USCe will have to wait until after Bowl season for D'A's decision...IMO..worth waiting on..but they might get antsy if other dominos fall early.

Dan Mullen would probably take USCe over his current gig..in fact Mullen would probably take the VT (probably Bud Fosters), UVa, or even maybe Miami. Starkvegas, Like East Lansing..is a place you really don't think of as 'home'.
