Not really because everyone in the world would take Frank Martin over Johnny Jones including any intelligent LSU fan. He coaches circles around Jones (not that that's saying much).
I wouldn't. Id hate to have that lunatic coaching my team

Yeah, no one would want Martin for his antics about like no one would want Pearl. Please.

Johnny Jones was 3 games above .500 in conference in his entire 11 year North Texas head coach stint. He made the NCAAT twice and lost in the first round both times. LSU hired him after back to back 4th place Sun Belt teams with double digit losses, neither of which made any kind of postseason (NIT, CBI).

He was awful, how or why LSU ended up hiring him, is a complete mystery to me. Is it really a shocker that everyone in the SEC thinks he's a bad coach? He is. For your sake I hope he can't possibly frick up the talent coming in and can at least manage an NCAAT win or two before they leave.

Why do you care so much about LSU's basketball coach? We appreciate all the interest.

It's good being part of the elite in college basketball again and getting to sit back and watch the bottom feeders bicker.

I'm loving life right now.

CFM has a top 25 class coming in. He inherited a dumpster fire. Elite 8 at Kansas State, plus multiple tourney appearances show he will lead us to the promised land. It has taken a bit longer than some would like, but we are trending up and will be a force next year and beyond.

You were supposed to have a decent team this year, yet, you're terrible. So there's that. I'll take JJ over Frank Martin any which day. LOL @ Top 25 class, like that means anything. JJ is about to bring in his 2nd Top 5/10 class since coming to LSU.

JJ has had to rebuild LSU too, you act like Brady left him a bunch of talented youngsters. We currently have 1 scholarship senior who doesn't even play, which is worse than what you guys have in 1 scholarship senior who not only plays, but starts. One thing is for sure, there isn't anyone out there who would take USC's roster over LSU's roster next season.

So you admit to being wrong. Not only has Frank Martin lost to JJ more than he's won, he also had much worse seasons. That will continue next year as well when our roster blows their's away.

JJ is right where Mike Anderson was in year 3 as well when everyone was calling him a bad coach...when next season will easily be his best team, kind of like this year (year 4) is easily Mike Anderson's best team. Probably a little early to pull out complete judgement. Funny enough, if LSU wins this weekend Mike Anderson will also be 1-3 vs. Johnny Jones.

seriously? How much money are your boosters paying?

What elite recruit would want to play for JJ and a fanbase that can't even fill up a 13k arena. They also leave early and boo their own team. At least Gamecock fans stay the whole time, even in down years.

Yes, because the Tennessee game was the Game of the Year.
We filled up the PMAC on several occasions this season, esp. for Kentucky and Ole Miss. We had nice crowds for many home games.
One bad crowd doesn't translate to a whole season.
We are 21-9. Not too bad a record. And we could still make the Tourney with a decent showing at Arky and in the SECT.
Also, we have the 2nd or 3rd best SEC basketball tradition historically. (Arky, A&M, Mizzou and you people don't count.)

How has no one addressed this bullshite, we havent booed our basketball team once this year. Maybe on a 3 and 10 dive play in tiger stadium, but thats the only thing ive seen booed in my entire existence and i dont agree with it. Also why stay and watch a team that doesnt give a shite and gives up? They're not going to climb back 14 points in 2 minutes

Back to this horse shite topic.

Jarrell Martin - From Baton Rouge

Ben Simmons - His Godfather, David Patrick, is an assistant coach at LSU.

Antonio Blakeney - Wants to play with, arguably, the best prospect since Lebron. Also is on the same AAU team as Simmons.

It's been convenient for Simmons to recruit Blakeney since both have played for the Each 1 Teach 1 AAU squad this summer

Ya'll are far from elite. You actually have to beat elite teams(plural)to be considered elite

I think LSU may get Malik Newman as well. Bringing in top tier talent to the program. It's definitely not the coach (horrrrrible), he has NOTHING to do with it whatsoever. Some kids want to stay close to home, or play where their family gets jobs by the university, or just play with "friends" they have that are recruited. Whatever the case, I'm sure they'll take it.
