Sustained success. It takes a lot more than having one good year with the most dynamic player in the nation at qb. It's a marathon not a sprint.

Yes, good bump. Great year. You have officially eclipsed LSU and Florida this year, even though you lost to both early in the year, by showing up and taking care of business.
And you beat the kingpin.
All respect here. I'm more worried about A&M going forward than anyone else in the West. Committed to facilities, got all the talent you need right there in your own state . . .
. . but we're still lookin' for payback next year. Or maybe you need a bouquet instead--the one loss may have been just what the doctor ordered.

Y'all had a great season. Sumlin impressed the heck out of me. Damn good coach. Moving to the SEC was the best move y'all ever made. Tx will be in the rear view mirror and the same as always. Ags on the other hand will continue to reap the benefits of being in a premeire league and will reap the benefits of that for a long time as long as you have great coaching like this yr.
I was surprised by 3 things this yr...the quality of coach sumlin is.. the pure athletic ability of JM and I think most of all.. the improvement on defense. Congrats on a terrific season. (oline was pretty damn good too)

A&M never needed to earn my respect. They had it coming in. Lots of us could see the potential there.
A different level of respect comes with winning the conference. Still another comes with undefeated seasons and national championships. So far, that's a small group within the conference. There's every reason to expect A&M will achieve those goals with good leadership.
Everybody respects Arkansas and Carolina. But neither has won the conference. Nobody looks forward to visiting Starkville, either. That's respect.
