I doubt you have to win it, but finish in the top three for a few of years. You will not get respect till after your second year at least unless you win it all your first.

Have a winning conference record, or at least a .500 record (4-4). Overall winning seasons and bowl eligibility will come along with that. Winning some of the bowls wouldn't hurt either, as most SEC fans keep annual tallies of the SEC bowl season record....

Beat some good teams,be competitive ,pull some top 10 recruiting classes all year in and year out, stop talking trash like your team has actually done something in football this decade. All this is a start.

Winning earns respect. And right now you can't beat the elite teams in the SEC...but, i think over the next couple of years as your recruiting gets more SEC type players, you will be just fine. I think in about 3 years you will be getting all the respect you want.

Oregon fan's first LSU tailgate

Improve your recruiting program and start bringing in recruiting classes comparable to LSU, Bama, Florida, and Georgia on an anual basis. Until you do that, you will remain a second tier SEC program.

This year was a great start in the right direction by beating Bama, playing Florida and LSU close, but your coaching staff needs to start challanging the Longhorns for your state's top high school talent on a consistent basis.

For some reason, your Aggies have never been on par with Texas or Oklahoma in recruiting. Moving to the SEC just might make the difference.

Its all about depth of your talent level. Power football in he SEC usually starts in the second half of each game.

I think Sabin made a big mistake by not running the ball with 1st. and goal on your 5 yard line. Bama's big offensive line should have been unstoppable there in the 4th. quarter against your undersized defense.

He ran on 2nd and goal. Result? Lacy for no gain.

win more than just one year when you have a heisman candidate qb. Without him your team sucks.Don't look for BIG6 anytime soon.
