THIS is what happens when we spend much-needed increased income on much-needed facility upgrades

Baseball is going under a 25 million dollar renovation as we speak. Thanks Kreuss Brothers (Blue Bell owners) for the 7 million dollar check

true but they are reducing capacity.

Because everyone's waistline will expand since, under the "secret terms" of the donation, the only food item that can be sold is Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla.

Just wondering last time Hogs played in NCAA tournament? I think 2008 and I think LSU 2009

Kyle field looks like a concrete jungle to me. I know it's got tradition and all that, but when I lived in College Station I always that it was ugly as hell. Maybe these renovations they're talking about will help that.

Reid arena is fairly new (@ 10 years or so now?) and nice, but capacity is low. They don't support the basketball program consistently, which is a shame considering the run they've been under.

I've been to the baseball field a couple of times, but since it's going under renovation it's pointless. But back then, Baum made it look like a high school field. With the renovations, will you guys have nothing but chairbacks? 'Cause that's essentially what you're comparing yourself to.

I will say that the tennis center is pretty badass. I remember Arkansas' tennis center being shitty back in 1999. A&M's, when i saw it last about 5 or 6 years ago, was pretty awesome.

Much like the Internet in general...

SEC Baseball = SERIOUS BUSINESS!

Here's my thread from June 13, 2011: " SEC Baseball Attendance 2011."

TOTAL SEC BASKETBALL ATTENDANCE = 2,307,101

LSU might have the best baseball fans and the best game atmosphere because of the fans, but the stadium itself is an architectural monstrosity. It really sucks.

I'd say that South Carolina, Arkansas, & Ole Miss all have better setups (and so Alex Box might only be the #4 baseball facility in the SEC), and even programs like Tennessee have some cool looking designs they are implementing.

Miss. State has a high capacity, but it's just a big hill behind a fence that allows for that.

You're the first LSU fan I've ever seen that rated Alex Box lower than 2nd.

For the first year and a half, I tried to pretend that I liked it ... but ... but I just can't help it. The new Alex Box is god awful ugly. It lacks the magic of the old Box, and the parking situation is out-of-this-world retarded.

Doc, from your thread, are you saying that the entire SEC holds the top 12 spots nationally in baseball attendance?

No. I just didn't have the national ranks for spring 2011 baseball attendance because the shitty NCAA hadn't published them yet. I was going off stats from SEC sources to compile my baseball list.
