I just like the subject

I'm impressed that since Miles bottomed out in 2008/2009 he's adopted a new philosophy of just playing the freshmen and I like how it is working out. I'd like it if more guys wanted to play all four years - but that's more because I want them to get degrees than because I think the turnover is worse than not playing a guy till his redshirt sophomore or junior year.

LSUs only question mark on defense is the DL.

DWI.

A DL that features #1 DT recruit in the nation in Freak Johnson, 4 star Ferguson, 4 star Rasco who I think were both rivals 100 guys, and Sal Sunseri told Rasco's mom he was the next Julius Peppers(yes there is a link). Both have played alot the last 2 seasons and 4 star Danielle Hunter.

Our LBs will have 100 tackle SR leader back in Barrow. Kwon Alexander and SR Tahj Jones along with 2-3 other LBs with plenty of experience.

LSU secondary returns 5 star Loston at S, who was better than Reid last year. Ronald Martin at S who played a ton (JR). Mills who was our best corner last year. Jalen Collins played #3 CB last year, he played alot. Micah Eugene at Nickel, also played a lot. I wont even get into the backups or true freshman Tre White.

Tell me why LSUs defense will not be good next year. Please enlighten me.

Inexprience. Loss of most of the key contributors from the previosu years defense, including a significant amount of experienced NFL talent. A lack of senior leadership. A difficult schedule. An offense that is well below average and will keep them on the field in a lot of games. (see Clemson.)

And still almost won the west. Go figure. We will be fine, and are going no where. A&M on the other hand is going to be very pissed come season's end

Right, but you were closer to 5 losses than 0. And even the most rational of fans would have to admit that it's highly probable that LSU won't be as good next year.

including a significant amount of experienced NFL talent

there is plenty more where that came from.

You dont have to be a SR to be a leader.

I agree, LSUs biggest question mark is the offense. If they can be more efficient next year, this team could be pretty fun to watch. Returning about 9 or 10 startes on offense is certainly a good start.

A&M's schedule is too terrible for them to go worse than 10-2

9 to 10 returning starters from an offense that frankly wasn't very good at all last year. And the same staff will be running the offense. I see no reason why LSU should expect much improvement on offense, just my honest opinion.

one play from winning the games against Bama and Florida

My concern for LSU in 2013 is more about attitude and discipline than potential or experience. If they show up working hard in the offseason and max out their potential they have the potential to be #1 in the country. If they stumble through the season without ever putting it together they will be a 9 or 10 win team in the regular season.
