You got 3 out of you top 10

LSU got 2 of YOUR top ten and 6 of our own.

So it's just the opposite of what the OP posted that's all

He's only been a collegiate coach for four years. At three stops. Need more time to judge him. But he's a great recruiter.

Here's been here for 1 full recruiting cycle right? Geez that's not a lot to go on. But for discussion's sake, here's what we've done since pruitt has been here.

2015:
Signed 5 of the state's top 10 (including the #1 overall player). The 5 we lost: 1 to an SEC west team, 1 to an East team, 2 went to the west coast (won't affect us), and 1 was a legacy to another school (hard to flip a legacy)

2016 (so far):
Only 3 players in the top 10 are committed, and all 3 to UGA. We also lead for many of the rest of the top 10. It would be a best case scenario, but it IS possible that we get 8 of the top 10 in state.

There is no doubt at all that our recruiting has picked up in the last 2 years. Have we truly "locked down" the borders? No, but in our state that would be virtually impossible. What we HAVE done is make huge strides in keeping these kids home though, as the 2016 class will bear out.

The people who think we've put up a cement wall around the state and the people who think we can't keep any of the good ones home are both incorrect.

Where did I say he wasn't locking down the borders. I just asked if he was the inbred on Two Days and how good a coach he was.

this line of thinking makes sense...but at the same time look at what his position units have done every stop he's been. He has made the secondary better at every stop, and in most cases the schools he's left have declined after he leaves. No the full book on him isn't written, it's only just started really...but there's plenty enough data to look at to see if he's a good coach or not. And he absolutely is.

I don't speak for OP, but that's not right... Unless you're not using 247 Composite...

Last year (pruitt's first year) LSU got 1 in the top 10, we got 5.

We got 3 of the top 5, 5 of the top 10, and 8 of the top 15.

This year's haul will be even better (by a lot actually).

Give us your tired, poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free..

Auburn needs some form of a Statue of Liberty down here on the Plains to remind people of how we keep helping these kids.

Just give them to us......

we know what to do.

How good of a coach is he? Saban is pretty zoned in on the DBs. He seemed to have have risen pretty fast though IMO. FSU was #2 defense the year before he took over and they were #3 the year he was there. He did improve UGA's D last year but there were some head scratcher type of games by the UGA D.
FSU had #6 in scoring D in 2012, lost a lot of guys to the draft and Pruitt came in and finished #1 and national champion. Pruitt left and a few talented defenders too, and they finished 50th.

UGA was #79 in 2013 and Pruitt took us to #16.

He's a damn good coach. He did have a few bad days and they bit us in the arse but also showed signs of dominance.

Let’s not forget, that the state of Georgia is a melting pot. Most of these kids are not from the state, but the job market and opportunities bring in people from all over the country. Then we have Louisiana. It’s like Cuba. It’s a dump, and people want to get the hell out as fast as possible. My point? We’re not comparing apples to apples.

Weird analogy, and one apparently made by somebody who has never been to Miami. Or heard of Miami. Or had a television during the Elian Gonzalez ordeal.

But I get your point that nothing about Georgia instills love or loyalty into its residents.

UGA can't help it that there are very few native Alabamians and Tennesseans that are actually good enough football players to play at the next level. They have to look for Georgia boys to fill out their rosters.

If watermelon seed spittin' or widdlin' were a D1 sport your states would be invaded by other programs as well.

FSU had 6 players drafted from that 2013 defense. Pruitt inherited a very talented bunch, that is why people could understand why he got the UGA job.
