Sold popcorn at Rice Stadium in Houston at the age of 12. One week I was working at the A&M-Houston game and saw the Aggie Band at halftime. I was blown away.
Couldn't afford to go to college after high school so I went into the military. Served almost 8 years during the Vietnam era, got hurt and was discharged. I used the GI Bill to enroll at A&M. After A&M, got a great job and sent both kids to A&M. They are both successful (one has an MBA and the other is an attorney). Their kids have already drank the koolaid and will be Aggies too.
Life is good.

Watching Skyler Green tear it up in the 2003 BCS title game
Kept following LSU and went to a game with my friend whose sister went there and got drunk for the first time.
Ended up getting pretty much a full scholarship so it was an easy choice

Dad was an alum so I was always a fan.
First game I remember vividly watching was the Hobnail Boot. I had a broken arm in a cast and remember it hurting after celebrating that touchdown. Ever since then I was sold and wound up at UGA myself

Several people in my family attended A&M over the years and my dad was a diehard fan growing up. Took me to see them play a couple times as a kid, and that was all she wrote.....been a fan ever since.

Grew up in North Georgia, and my dad was a UGA fan. Grew up going to Athens once a year for football games. Knew I wanted to go to an SEC school for a variety of reasons, so I went touring campuses during junior year of HS. Randomly decided to visit USC, and as soon as I set foot on the Horseshoe, there was nowhere else in the world I wanted to be. USC gave me a scholarship that made it competitive with the HOPE, so I chose Carolina over UGA. Graduated in '07.
My old man and I talk ball all year, but we can't watch the UGA/USC game together. Gets too heated.
My brother went to grad school/ROTC at Ole Miss, and I have business in Jackson often, so I tend to pull for the Rebs outta the West. Married to a Bama fan, and live in sidewalk-capital Chattanooga.

Parents graduated from u of Kentucky but we moved down to Texas when I was young. Decided I wanted to be a vet and wanted to go to a&m to do so. By the time I got to high school I had changed my mind and wanted to do some thing with math/physics(ultimately got a math degree). A&m was still high on my list and loved it there. In a twist of fate, I ended up marrying an aggie vet.
