WG...I watched some of the UGA-Vandy game at a bar in Gainesville and the dejecting of Floyd by rules was warranted imho. The Vandy qb's head snapped backward violently when he was hit and there was head to head contact along with shoulder to pad contact. It wasnt going to impact outcome at all....but now he has to sit out half of USC game?

USC has fallen on hard times...the defense is still not there yet and Spurrier better put away the clubs and concentrate on recruiting...he never liked doing it and had Zook do a lot of it for him back in the day.

Expect everyone to stack line and try to hold Chubb to minimal gains and then force QB to beat them. The problem with schools like UGA & LSU is that they might run three straight times no matter what because they have homerun threat in the backfield. Running on third and 6 is like 3rd and 2 to some teams....and a lot safer.

Did Richt say anything about playing Ramsey?

He has scripted series. The series he came in was already predetermined. It was just a coincidence that Lamber was 0fer at the time. Also if you wathched the game, you'd see that Ramsey's first 2 passes were EAAASSSSYYY passes abotu 5 yards from scrimmage. Basically guaranteed completions. In the first half Lambert didn't have anything like that except for his first pass, which Chubb dropped.

I won't lie adn say everything is peachy...lambert did struggle and it's a bit concerning..but as of right NOW there's not a controversy. It's Lambert. He won the job for a reason.

I sometimes wonder about Mason's commitment to great QB play. The revolving door system last year was frustrating, to say the least.

The kid played at Cedar Grove. They aren't exactly known for producing Rhodes Scholars

It was Lorenzo Carter not floyd, and it was the 1st quarter so he's served his time. He'll be back for SC.

I'm quite sure Schotty expects that. I've been saying for 2 weeks that we've been pretty basic these 2 weeks simply because we can. We'll open things up a bit this Saturday. Earlier I said 1 but now as I think back I stand corrected...I believe we have thrown downfield twice all season (both yesterday). Basic routes. Hell we've even done basic run plays. I think we've run one or two sweeps all year and I can't recall any counter plays. SC is going to get a lot of new looks we haven't shown yet.

Carter plays the whole game since it was the first half. It could have been called either way.

His play management is as follows: Is my first option open? If yes, throw to him. If no, throw to him.

Seems like y'all could rig up some 3D Simulator & Shock Therapy contraption. Immersion toward the quickest results. You're Vandy.

It couldn't hurt anything.

They practiced in the off-season with some kind of virtual reality stuff. Starting to look like maybe we should have stuck to reality.

Are you kidding me? McCrary needs to transfer to South America. That dude is plain awful. Im sure he is a good kid and all....but Id rather have intercourse with a cactus plant than watch him play QB. He can take Ludwig Von Warner with him too. Middle schools play better football on offense. No imagination, nothing but a huge void.

I wish Vanderbilt fans understood that this guy is just never going to be a good QB. I suppose false hope is the lifeblood of a Commodore football fan, though.

Vandy's D is legit. It will take some time for ranters to realize but that unit is stout. Mason knows D for sure.

I wasn't trying to kid you. My point was that Coach Mason seems to have trouble developing a single competent QB, whether it's because of the revolving door system last year or because of, well, starting an underwhelming QB this one.

Though I do find it a bit worrisome that a UF fan seems so much more upset about our QB play than I do.

Vandy's defensive performance is underrated IMO.

Hey guys, sorry to be like this, but if we can't seem to bring up the SEC West in this thread somehow, we're gonna have to shut it down.

45 yards were some of the worst penalty calls I've ever seen.

The hands to the face call on Floyd where he was actually the one getting his helmet shoved up by the OLineman was pretty funny. It reminded me of the game in Nashville from a couple years back.

I just know I won by Vandy +18 bet. Unlike, what seems, about 80% of the public.

Also refreshing due to the lack of trolling by Barn and Tenn fans due their own wound-licking.

I don't even have a dog in the fight nor really care one way or the other, but I got so pissed off when the score was 24-14 and Vanderbilt had the ball 2nd and goal with 4:00 minutes left to play. The Vanderbilt quarterback, naturally, threw a HORRENDOUS interception in the endzone. There was like one Vanderbilt player surrounded by four Georgia players. I literally yelled that the quarterback didn't need to do that! Live to play another down. At the very least, you can kick a field goal and attempt an on-side kick or kick it deep and hope to stop Georgia.

ETA: That Tight End for Vanderbilt...holy frick. He elevates the terms "brick hands" and "can't catch a cold" to a whole new level. He had like 3 straight, so-fricking-easy passes thrown to him in a row...all dropped. Honestly, I don't think I've ever seen anything like it.

I truly feel bad for Derek Mason. He's elevated that team to a whole different level from year one to year two. He has put Vanderbilt in a position to win or at least play for a win in both games (whether deservedly or not). At some point your players have just got to get out of their own way and make plays.
