I was shocked to see Vandy covered the spread and scored a couple of TDs. Is Vandy improving? Did Georgia play sloppy? I figured Vanderbilt would likely not make any game remotely close this season.

I said all week we wouldn't show much and probably wouldn't cover.

Admitedly, our QB play was atrocious in teh first half. No way around it...really, really bad. But, as was expected, our run game and defense was lights out. If not for some really shitty officiating calls it would have been even worse for vandy's offense. Floyd and Jenkins were in the backfield all day, and one of our best rushers Lorenzo Carter was ejected early.

Also as expected, we played a pretty basic offensive gameplan. We took one real shot downfield (the first all season) which was incomplete. I truly think we've sandbagged until the SC game this weekend. We also missed a couple FGs, which was bad.

Bottom line: QB play was lacking but everywhere else we did about what I expected. Controlled the game against an overmatched opponent and got out with a win. Passing and Pass D needs work. Running game, run D, and return game is oustanding.

Vandy's defense under Mason has actually been quite impressive given the talent level he's working with.

There's honestly not much he can do there to follow what Franklin did.

He's going to make a great d coordinator for someone when he gets fired.

Vandy scored 1 td with a 2 Pt conversion, and Uga missed 2 easy fg's

UGA never covers the spread when the line is huge. Not sure why you would expect it this game.

But UGA's run game and run D looked great. Everything else looked like 8th grade football.

...and Vandy had more first downs, more TOP, almost equal total yards (not counting special teams, where Georgia had 177 return yards and Vandy had 6). Both teams punted 6 times. Vandy threw 3 interceptions. (Georgia had no turnovers).

Georgia did suffer 92 penalty yards to Vandy's 20.

45 yards were some of the worst penalty calls I've ever seen.

As for TOP, a punt return for a TD, an int for a td, and a muffed KO return will do that.

Defense is good. QB is mentally incompetent, and this is likely to be exacerbated by our O-Lines inability to block. I believe this will be a repeating theme.

and won by 17.

Shows you that we're pretty good in some areas and vandy is pretty bad in areas.

We played pretty well. There was discipline that was sorely missed last year. Tipping my hat to whatever Vandy fan it was that chastised me for not appreciating that after last week's game.

He's dumb. I can't think of a better adjective; I didn't go to Vandy.

Your defense DOES play hard and smart. They're well coached. I was impressed by them and Mason. (Mason as a defensive coach obviously).

McCrary needs to transfer to Texas.

QB controversy in Athens? Did Richt say anything about playing Ramsey? Or is Lambert the guy?

I got kicked off our forum for repeating that he has no football IQ whatsoever. I try not to take aim at particular players on our team but the guy is clueless. He didn't start the first game last year because he couldn't learn the playbook in time. This year he appears to know the playbook but only the first option.

His play management is as follows: Is my first option open? If yes, throw to him. If no, throw to him.

A lot of the Vandy fans are seeing flashes of brilliance in him and think he just needs in-game experience. Sorry, he's had in-game experience and he's awful. I'll keep rooting for him to improve but we're never going to win an SEC game with him at the helm. I'm not sure we have a better option but we don't have a worse one, either.

I actually feel really bad for the defense because I do believe they are SEC-calibre.
