Bama had the ball with about 1:30 left in the 4th Quarter. We had an opportunity to drive down the field and win the game but Saban let the clock run and decided to take the game to overtime. We played way too uptight and conservative. That is no slight to LSU they had an incredible team that year and won the game fair and square.

Didn't LSU rip a 75 yard punt out of their end zone? That play was crucial.

Almost as good as the 6-3 Bama/ UT game from 2005.

Probably just ahead of the 3-2 MSU/ Auburn game.

This was the biggest game I could remember since the '06 Michigan - Ohio State game.

Hyped, but extremely over-rated.

The country was robbed out of seeing the two best teams play for the NC in 2011, Bama and Okie State.

This one had to be tough for you. In the end, you had to go with LSU.

Bama had a kicker that only did curls at the gym.

Saban didnt trust AJ enough in the first game. We aired it out more in the second game and won handily.

That was true but I thought the biggest adjustment Bama made from GOC I to GOCII was that they committed to containing JJ and making him throw the ball. JJ missed his reads poorly in that game. Bama also did much better on the zone read which JJ ran poorly too. As a result we got the 50 yd line jail door...

Bama pretty much joke that game away. Plus the refs gifted them an interception on what should have been pass interference or a Bama completion. But mostly it was Bama screwing up missing a bunch of field goals. Alabama proved they were the better team that year when they beat LSU down in the BCS NC G

We are all aware Bama never loses a game, they beat themselves.

Eric Reid made that INT fair and square, it was clean.

I came into this thread to say Eric Reid. Eric Reid was the reason LSU won. What should've been Bama's ball on the one, was robbed by an incredible play by Reid. With the way the defenses were playing, a TD right there would've sealed the deal IMO.

Simple, it was becuase Bama had a horrible kicker in Cade Foster. Bama had more scoring opportunities than LSU but kept missing those FGs. Werid thing is Bama made 5 out of 7 FGs in NCG with Jermey Shelly instead of Foster.

This board can't go 90 days without the "2011 bammer - corndog - hold each other's sword and stoke it together" thread.

Thus was right on cue.

Tell us MORE how a 9-6 soccer score game was entertaining.

Snore.

Only a dumbass would make such a stupid statement. Bama was clearly the statisical leader in BOTH games and DOMINATED in the NC game.

No one required you to come on here and comment. If you're tired of the topic and think the game was boring than just ignore this thread. Plus it's the off season, there isn't much to talk about.

It was an anomaly. Just one of those unexplainable things that rarely happen.

IIRC, LSU was the statistical leader in the 2012 & 2014 games too. Only a dumbass would make such a stupid statement.

Stats don't mean shite, scores do. durp
