Baseball is a revenue sport for very few schools.

No it isn't.

If a school draws 400K+ in any sport...that's WINNING. No more discussion or qualification needed.

Not if you play 45 home games.

And you are comparing to 15 home games in another sport.

Quantity vs Quality.

Whoa...hitchup your gitalong there Trigger.

I'd bet large that baseball is a revenue sport at many of the big schools. Florida State, UNC, Arizona State, Texas, etc all make money on baseball.

You clearly didn't experience Alabama's national 1997 title game appearance in baseball.

I watched it. Now imagine if Alabama played in a Final 4 or championship game in basketball.

Doesn't matter. 400K tickets is success any way you slice it. And the scholarship and equipment cost for baseball cost much less than the next-highest college sport by attendance, hockey.

Baseball is cheaper than basketball for scholarship cost, more for equipment. Might actually be cheaper to field a baseball team than a basketball team.

I've posted this info before. I don't really care to spend the time digging it up again. Either believe me or don't.

Or you could actually take the time to check my facts before you jump in head first to disagree.

Your choice.

Were you an accountant for ENRON?

Basketball has more full scholarships to offer than Baseball while basketball has a much smaller roster.
