Bama's scoring defense is 1st in the SEC and 4th in the nation. Pretty good, considering it's the "weak" link, huh?

Oh, and 1st in the nation in home games only, giving up 6.4 pts per game.

Special Teams kept LSU in the Game. Cam will not be completely shut down because he is a play maker, but if Alabama can get a few stops and capitalizes on key plays I think they can win the game.

I think they will need great play from there offensive line to stop fairley. If they can do that I think they can exploit the Aubbies secondary.

And if you put pressure on cam you can limit what he can do.

Auburn had a lot of close games this year and I think little Nicky can formulate a great game plan to keep it close and win the game.

Plus this is their last meaningful game of the regular season. I think the team will be focused and play their best game of the season. Little Nicky doesn't like to lose two in a row.

Nobody said its the weak link, I specifically pointed out ONE aspect of the defense which is the pass rush.

I wasn't talking to you, and no matter which aspect you pointed out, the stats I posted are still accurate.

They gained 1/10th of a mile on us. Stop saying
"the defense did well enough". 526 yards is NOT good enough.

We were in position to take the lead. Spencer Ware threw a touchdown, then Auburn gets a couple of first downs then turns the ball over on 4th. The defense held them to 17 points and got us the ball back with 8 minutes to play, and on our final 2 drives we go 3 and out.

play by play

I give them credit for coming up with the big runs and constantly moving the chains, but the game was there for the taking in the 4th.

He ripped the LSU defense. LSU has a much better defense than Bama. LSU has Nevis and Cam still ran wild. Bama has no one on defense that comes close to being a Nevis. And Auburn has Fairley.

Auburn beats Bama by 17 points this year.

100% AGREE.

A Bama fan that has thrown in the towel? Wow. That's a shame.

Hell, I still think we will beat USC this year!

Keep trying anything they can to make sure he doesn't play.

You guys are paranoid. The truth is, you've sucked this bad, for this long, and it's not Bama's fault. Everybody I know WANTS cam to play.

It doesn't matter in the Iron Bowl. Seriously, the best team doesn't always win.

Alabama is 6th in the SEC in rush D, and 3 of the 5 in front have already gave up over 300 yards rushing to AU (USCe, LSU, UGA), one of them over 400, and another one of them 228 (MSU). The other rush D in front of them is AU. Bring it, we will rush for 444 on them, most ever in a season for an SEC O.

Don't underestimate Saban, he is a defensive genius and Alabama's 3-4 defense sets up well to contain that damn option. Not to mention the fact that Cam had ALOT of plays where he would barrel over our undersized LB's who (average 225 lbs) fot an extra 2-3 yards, that do start to add up...meanwhile Bama's average linebacker weight is 247.5 lbs.

Our pass rush in the msu game was pretty good, very much improved. I think we had 5 sacks. Perhaps they are starting to finally turn the corner.

Actually, LSU presents a great game plan for beating Auburn. Sure, they had a ton of rushing yards, but only 24 points to show for it. I think Bama's offense can score more than 24 on Auburn's defense. The key is to keep everything in front of you, give up the field goals when you need to, make some stops on third down and win the field position battle.

LSU fans really ripped the defense after that game, but I thought it was a solid game plan. We had a chance to tie or win with just three minutes left in the game. That's really all you can ask for against a quality SEC opponent playing at home. Who cares how many yards you give up? Points matter. Yards don't.

I agree. And Bama does not have the pass rush LSU does.

IMO, Bama will blitz Cam. It will work at times, but when it doesn't Cam will break some long runs with only DBs to try and stop him.

AU will put up 30+ on Bama, maybe 40. The question is how well bama's offense and the ginger do.
