Yeah, I'll wager you. I bet AU wins by at least 17. What's the bet.
And, LSU had a game plan for Cam...I bet Bama does not have a better one. Bama's DL gets no pass rush at all. Bama's LBs are too slow. And the Bama secondary is too young this year. Bama will have a good D next year. But Cam whips this this year.

Because the LSU defense had a bad game/strategy against him, you are just assuming Alabama will?

They won't stop him because he's too good if he plays... but they could certainly do better than LSU did
Big things to start with would be making tackles... and whenever there's an option play? Assume Cam is keeping it and hit him hard... he's the more dangerous runner and you want to wear him down instead of letting him rape your secondary

No. I'm not an SEC fan. I'm a PAC-10 guy. My alma mater is UCLA. And yes, I know...I know...we suck. We've gotten used to that.

good, Cam has been excellent against the blitz this year
The scheme we ran was gap containment. We let our d-linemen try to stand up and contain rather than attack the gaps. Bama will attack every chance they get.

We had a horrible game plan for Cam.
Were you in on the planning, or just saying that because LSU lost?
Bammer's only hope to stop Cam is to get the NCAA to bench him.

but I thought it was a solid game plan.
special teams is the only reason the score was that close. It forced auburn to drive 95 yards on many occasions.
Do you realize LSU gave up the most rushing yards in the history of LSU football (over 100 yrs)? Malleveto had many problems and even that double head monster never faired so poorly on run defense.

If Saban could not stop South Carolina or LSU he has no chance of stopping Cam with that defense. It is too young and Cam is too good.

That explains your offensive-minded football ineptitude.
How are we going to stop, Cam? Play him for the run. Don't over rush. Keep him in front. Make him throw the ball. He'll make some plays, but Auburn isn't going to outscore Bama in bryant denny stadium by throwing the ball.

He's probably saying that because they gained more than half-a-thousand fricking yards on us!

I take you up on your wager and you want to ban me? Pussy.

Saban is a defensive mastermind regardless of what one may think of him personally. He will learn much from watching the LSU film; see the mistake of not run-blitzing nearly enough, see the missed tackles and spend extra time on technique, alternate 8 men in the box with the two-deep spy zone he used on Tebow last year. Offensively he will challenge his line to gear-up to mash Mr. Fairley. Should be interesting.

We had a chance to tie or win with just three minutes left in the game. That's really all you can ask for against a quality SEC opponent playing at home. Who cares how many yards you give up? Points matter. Yards don't.
This. Auburn was the better team that day, but we had the ball with the score tied at 17 in the middle of the 4th quarter and couldn't get it done.
16 passes from Newton for 86 yards definitely isn't picking the team apart. They ran wild, but only scored 3 touchdowns, 2 of which were on huge runs. Any time a team gets 440 yards rushing, they should win by 3 scores.
If sCam had turned the ball over just once, that game would have been completely different. But, he's a machine and both of our lines were beaten up all game.

From what I saw last week Cam has a strong arm and is accurate. If Garcia and Jefferson can rip your secondary I think Cam will have a good day throwing the ball.
