Not based on what I saw last Saturday he wouldn't.

You guys are now on the "post-Dan Mullen" downswing. Next up is the season after all your prior championship players leave and the inmates really run the asylum. Then comes the family time needs. Who knew all it would take is the B1G's version of Saban at his old school to do the trick. Good luck with allllllll that!

We know the next 3 games wont be pretty, but we re on the right track with Mac and this staff. Good class coming in with the depth we need and we ll have a new QB next yr in either Del Rio or Franks. I think Grier misses the train and transfers honestly..

Not if he had Treon Harris at QB or a OT from Fordham.
He handpicked John Brantley, and we all know how that turned out.
Within a few years he'll leave the Buckeyes like he left UF.
The cracks are already starting to show themselves.

Wow, you'd previously made some quality posts. And now this.....people have been committed to mental institutions for far less. It's clear you know nothing about Meyer. He's in the early stages of a breakdown, as is OSU. That coward can't even watch a FG kick, and you think OSU is going to play up to their potential? News flash, they don't have Tebow over there to bail out Meyer as he curls up in the fetal position. If there's a close loss to Michigan, Meyer might be gone by bowl season, under another family-time contract. Quick, list the number of ranked opponents OSU has beaten this year? UF's defense is a nightmare matchup for OSU's offense. Could UF score enough to win? With McElwain and Nuss, plus palpitating Meyer and the disgruntled bunch at OSU - absolutely. After a loss early Bama got it together last year, only to go into the playoff and crap the bed. And here we are, Bama in the same position. Maybe the Bama meltdown will come earlier this year, and you walk out of Atlanta with a loss.

There are lots of comparisons.

I agree, the one that is the most linear is 2008 to 2009 Meyer at Florida to 2014 to 2015 Meyer at Ohio State. However, there is also a pretty similar comparison to both the 2010 Alabama team and the 2009 Florida team and their bowl appearances : uber talented teams taking one last game to show everybody how good they could have been while playing two teams that overachieved during the season to reach a big bowl and were totally overmatched when Florida/Alabama played to their max potential.

And as an Alabama man I know alllllllll about Meyer and allllllll about his trend lines.

Well, you already had your own FAU experience with mighty Northern Illinois, so.

Just accept it. You've already had your pinnacle moment under Meyer. Everything else is going to be a trainwreck that ends in a fiery blast with Urban sneaking out before the wreck. Just hope DUI's and player outbursts to the media are as bad as it gets.

Given all this-- isn't it more likely that they have their come together game in a game they actually care about-- you know this weekend against Michigan-- a team which is at best equal to Florida this year?

Ask Meyer about that MichSt FG - oh that's right, you can't ask him. He was too cowardly to even watch it.

1 ranked opponent. One. In your house. Without their starter at QB. And OSU has, allegedly, three NFL QB's on the roster. And you lost.

One

Ranked

Opponent

Dreams shattered. Players leaving school, throwing coaches under the bus. Head coach can't even watch. Yeah, things are going well up in Ohio.

Yea, I thought that in 2010 too. And we did it for 1 half vs Auburn and then pissed it down the drain

Brantley was a dud. Even NFL coaching couldn't develop him.

If that's his decision, good luck to him. We'll be fine. Definitely won't fall apart like Florida did.

NIU isn't 2-9 and we didn't play them late in November.

Good point, should probably fire the idiot that selected him as the heir apparent to Saint Tebow.

Urban didn't recruit any of those defensive linemen. They were all brought in by Ron Zook. So, it all kind of did fall together.

Sorry, I forgot that is your best win to date. Didn't mean to insult. It was a gritty performance.

Too late. He's somewhere else winning championships with better players.

The Citrus Bowl Title is not a championship. I know Dan Mullen was one of Urban's boys, but please don't steal his lesser qualities.

NIU would be 10-1 with Alabama's schedule.
