This thread has to be close to setting, if it has not already set, the record for longest-running SEC Rant thread without descending into a festering pit of trolling bullshite.

Amazing what happens when somebody starts a decent thread.

Our Marketing Team is terrible about broadcasting our progression. Haven't had updated pics in months.

Kyle Field kind of looks like it will be a clusterfrick with nothing matching and what not.

Speaking of jumbotrons. A&M has framed the 47x163 (I think) beast. Biggest in the SEC if I'm not mistaken.

I was talking about the inside of Kyle Field, and yea West side of TS is a joke.

To be honest our AD isn't the quickest about putting out updated pictures either.

Half of the pictures you see in this thread are from TexAgs posters that go and get weekly progress pictures from the outside.

The construction cams just aren't that great. They have a pretty big lag now because of the death and they are never in sync.

I like the flags on there.

Are you sure that's the complete frame? Seems like it should still be a little wider.

I've actually pulled the photos I've posted from Aggie Athletics.
They post updates to Facebok almost weekly.
I've been really impressed with how they've chronicled & shared the process.

You're correct, every single side will be different which upset some people who wanted it to be symmetrical. If you look at those pictures of how it should look you can even see that the field won't be centered on the east side. Our east and west sides didn't match beforehand though so I'm sure people will get over it eventually.

COLLEGE STATION — Texas A&M says Kyle Field will have the largest video screen in college football for the 2014 season.

A&M officials say the LED video display will be 47 feet high and 163 feet wide, and be the first one in college athletics to have 1080 resolution.

The display, made by Daktronics, will be installed in the south end zone. Two smaller displays will also be installed, with one in each corner at the north end of the stadium. Those will be 36-by-54 feet.

The last portion of the video upgrade will be five ribbon displays placed around the seating areas of the stadium, ranging from 160 to 510 feet long.

It might be wider but I'm not sure the additional width isn't some frame around it. It looks about 50 yards wide now. Just keep in mind it sits on the very last row. A good distance from the field so it may not quite look as big from that view.

Eh, once the SEZ expansion is completed it will really only be the west side exterior that looks out of place. The fact that the east upper backs up against Victory Hill and the buildings on Powerhouse Dr. makes it less visible and less of a concern.

We will have two totalling 10,474.

According to my calculation of course.

Really? It seemed like the DWS expansion was ahead of TS for the longest time. They've really picked it up during the last few months, though. Three crews of workers working 8 hour shifts, 24/7.

Yeah we were ahead but i don't think they are working around the clock and with probably less crew. Saves money and will still be ready. We didn't have to cram as much work in.
