This could be good or bad for Ole Miss. now Nutt can just release everything he has to the media just to embarrass them

yeah, but it may be Ole Miss's biggest SEC win this year too. We know they're going down to AU, Bama, LSU, Arky, A&M, MSU and NCAA. Let's give them this victory.

The judge dismissed this with the swiftness, and yet that silly Rebel Rags case lingers on.

They dismissed this case because the court "lacks jurisdiction". I don't imagine it's entirely over between Nutt and OM

this was pretty savage of Nutt. They filed the lawsuit on July 12th, Freeze is fired July 20th, lawsuit dismissed August 8th.

jurisdiction matters in these cases...

This was never about some fake 'apology'. This was all part of the plan to get Freeze, and it worked. Nothing more, nothing less.

They could end up re-filing in a different court. Sounds like Butt's attorney Mars filed in a court with no jurisdiction for this case.
Will be interesting to see if Nutt let's it die or re-files.

ready to move on b/c you genuinely wanted to move on from the guy, or b/c you feel it will help you with the COI in September?

um yeah it has to be filed in a different court... so this is far from over

If it was filed in a US District court, who the hell does the judge think DOES have jurisdiction? Some state court?
I'm no lawyer, but it sounds to me like the judge needs to grow a pair.

It may be far from technically over, but Nutt stands no chance at winning. He has to prove damages, and he has absolutely none. I don't think Ole Miss admin is worried one bit about the end result of this. I could see Nutt bowing out now.
