Jimmy Sexton is my hero. Mississippi has to pay Nutts 6 million to fire him, plus more money to Nix and Lee also. Then they will have to spend another 6 million to bring in a new staff. Also, if you fire Nutts, Mullen will grab hold of the top recruits in Mississippi this winter- which may happen anyway after Mississippi goes 4-8 aGAIN. Tough decision coming this Thanksgiving in Oxford

What makes you think that we fire everyone? And Mullens top class was right when he was hired, so losing everyone isn't an automatic.

This. You can no longer fire any of our coaches based solely on what happened last season.

As of right now....we keep all our D coaches and Gunter Brewer.

BTW. Bolden's MRI is done. Waiting on results. They said probably small fracture and nothing else....probably a few weeks.

Enricky hyperextended his knee.

I was very impressed with our defense. I think our offense will start figuring things out once we figure out which QB we will use. Stoudt looked really good(IMHO all things considered) with the ball. Don't forget that the gameplan was mostly configured for a Brunetti/Mackey type QB.

Don't you think that if you fired Nutt, you would let the new coach create his own staff with whomever they wanted, which would not necessarily include any previous members

I agree. I get all the Nutt hate but I think they are a much better team this year

Yes......but I also think they'd want to keep the coaches who look to be doing their job well as of yet.

You also have to think about recruiting. Most of the defensive staff have developed relationships with key figures in certain recruiting areas. Nutt cleaning house is what screwed us back in 2008. We could have had a pretty decent class if he would have kept 2-3 guys on.

Improvement is key. I hate losing but there is more to the game than just wins and losses from an analytic standpoint.

My problem last year isn't JUST us going 4-8 but how we looked going 4-8. Slow, unmotivated, out of position, etc. These things are what I'm looking for this season.

You better hope he doesn't upset LSu/Bama this year along with a 5 or 6 win season because that'll show the potential this team has and would could have been so he needs another year..

So what you're saying is that, wait for it, if he WINS GAMES he WON'T BE FIRED.

Holy balls, you might be onto something here.

I guess I don't quite understand. You focus your argument on our postseason failures meanwhile your own team can't even beat a bunch of mormoms? Or Jacksonville State for that matter.

Red herrings all up in this bitch.

Someone said "Houston Nutt lost the Cotton Bowl" as an indictment against his coaching. I pointed out that Arkansas has always been a program that doesn't perform well in the postseason, regardless of coaching.

Care to refute THAT, because it's actually the point I'm making.

I hope no one gets fired. I like it the way it is.
They might get some one good.

people are also forgetting that we were a dropped pass from a true freshman away from completely breaking BYU's back and making it 20-0.

ROFL, Nutt has to love the shite out of you.....

This x 1000. Ole Miss had no choice in the matter, especially when ESPN paid OM $2M to reschedule.

Holy balls, that's not what I am saying!

This is what will happen. Your team will shite the bed this year and everyone will call for his head. BUT he will win a gain against a highly touted SEC team this year.

Thus showing he is a good coach and you can't fire him because oh look what he is capable of doing if he could make his team playing like they did against <insert highly touted SEC you beat here> every week!

Bring him back another year and repeat everything I just said all over again.

Ole miss is better without him. We are on your side. You managed 208 yard of offense and zero offensive TD's against BYU. It's time to let go
