In 70's and 80's bama was better than LSU. 90's about even and it seems the visiting team won. Does not compute since 2000. The visiting team has no advantage now.

The only reason I listed Bama is a few guys like D. White, C. Jones, and K. Norwood already have camaraderie in game situations with AJ and that will take time for Mett, it could've been a push since LSU has some talent I know, but that connection and returning QB made the difference IMHO

I'm keeping the QB experience seperate from my rankings of the WRs. LSUs top 2 in Beckham and Landry will be really good.

Do you really think AJ has formed a connection with those guys? They didnt really do much last year.

Our TEs have had trouble catching passes per some spring practice reports.

Good point. Plus AJ has a season's worth of snaps that Zach doesn't.

Does anyone have an explanation for LSU's lack of a home field advantage against Bama?

historically speaking the tide owned the tigers for a long time in any stadium. Not the same era. Those days are gone. Go back in the last 10yrs and compare home and home games.

White had a few TDs, Kenny Bell had a few TDs, Norwood didn't really have a lot of games, but showed out in NoLa, C Jones was a TF and has just as much game experience as White and a little less than Bell

And on TEs, at Yackle U? No no way J/k

And I agree they are different, but connection with QB makes a big difference, the QB is throwing it after all

That's the national perception....rightly or wrongly. Congrats again on the bowl game.

Last 30 years:

Alabama in Tiger Stadium: 10-4-1
LSU in Tuscaloosa/Birmingham: 11-4

Neither team has had much of a home field advantage in this series for a very long time.

I'll list my advantages at each position AS OF RIGHT NOW: (this could all change)

QB - adv Bama (I know Mett is the second coming of the Savior to most on here, but I need to see him, he might not be able to dissect and break down a weak side pressure and zone disguise like J.Lee and force INTs, we honestly have no idea yet, Bama has a NC winning QB)
------------------------------------------------

It's quite hilarious to me that Bama fans are all like "let's wait and see what Mett does before we crown him.."

Yet, before McCarron became a starter they were all on his nutsack, and wasn't going to be told anything different.

It is truly amazing how AZZ-BACKWARDS Bama fans really are.

Over the last 30 years, LSU leads the series 15-14-1.

And I'm guessing that was before you were born anyway, gump

Historically speaking

What's the relevance of picking a period that includes both the BEST coach in Bammer's history along with some of the WORST coaches in LSU's history?

There actually is a reason. Bear Bryant would only schedule LSU after the Ole Miss game, who was considered to be LSU's rival at the time. Coming off what would be an emotionally charged away game during the 60s and 70s, LSU usually started a little flat against Bama. Bama only came to Tiger Stadium after LSU played Ole Miss away. Yes Bryant had the influence with the SEC office to make this happen.

Even in the 90s? Where you high the entire time? LSU had 7 losing seasons in the 90s. Alabama won 90 games and had two SEC titles, along with a national title.

We have won more games against Bama in BR than Bama has won against LSU in Tuscaloosa since 2000

Most of your wins in BR were during the Bear years and the years where we had shitty coaches like Archer

Couldnt a similarly stupid remark be made that Bama had shitty coaches for 7 (2000-2006) of those years?

Those numbers are shocking. That discrepancy is too great to be mere chance. That must be some serious cajun voodoo.
