That was talked about when Aranda was hired - that the way might be being paved already for Hermann to come in and them reunite.

Houston is going Big-12 and Herman is getting 5-6 mil.
As good as the LSU job is (and I agree it is a very, very good one), that won't be enough to overcome the chance to lead Houston into the new conference. The money and exposure (assuming he has NFL aspirations) would be similar and the competition weaker.
Now, if the B12 screws the pooch on expansion and the Houston deal falls through you've probably got a good shot.

Its pointless throwing this kind of information on the Rant. All the other schools in the conference are well aware that LSU is a head coach away from being a threat again. The thing I cannot understand is, why do Aggie fans want Les to stay when he has dragged his stones across their face the last 5 times we played them? You would think they would want a change to maybe have a chance to win one against LSU.
