LSU already has shite.

And it's pretty evident that they don't like it.

Hmmmm. Let me channel my inner idiot LSU fan..... wait, it's coming......
1) LSU has no one to recruit against in state...unless of course you count Sumlin raiding the NOLA area and Saban coming in a and periodically plucking guys out of W. Monroe and Dutchown

2) Maybe he wants to prove himself against the best teams in the country? I mean Oklahoma and Florida State are just patsies? Right? they don't play anybody. Plus there is so much more talent in Louisiana than there is in the metro Houston area

3)Baton Rouge is so much more an attractive place than Houston.

4) Three letters for you .....S...E...C... It's waaaay better than BIG 12 ....overall, it probably is

5) If we want him, we can open up the checkbook and get him. Yeah because Houston and UT don't have really rich oilmen and banker boosters

Les coaches at LSU for 5 more years, minimum.

May switch to an Aggie fan if that happens. At least you all expect to not win championships.

They liked it plenty three weeks ago.

They could hire Sark and spin it as a positive, don't worry about them.

Even if true, that would be 30+ spots ahead of the hog pen.

Just curious what is that based on? What criteria do you use to come to the conclusion?

1. Stadium?
2. Fanbase?
3. Recruiting?
4. Conference?
5. Uniforms?
6. Program Income?

For example, what makes Miami above LSU? Surely not their stadium, program income, conference, fan base or uniforms. I agree they are located in a great recruiting area, but so is LSU, in a state with the highest per capita D1 football recruits and no other major FBS football school, sitting next to Texas and with a pipeline to Florida for 4 & 5 star DBs. Some of the other schools you listed are suspect as well.

Notre Dame, Tennessee, and Michigan are not your grandfathers teams any longer. Although Notre Dame has a national recruiting base, when was the last time their recruiting class was ranked above LSU's. When did they last win a national championship? Tennessee is located in a state that produces few D1 prospects. When did they or Michigan last win a national title? To the kids today, those 3 are not held in such high esteem as they were back in the day. Florida? Texas A&M? Questionable.

Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, USC, I have no argument with. The rest I can make the argument that LSU is above each. And that is based on the present, not on what happened back in the day.

LSU is the first team to have won two BCS titles. It annually has top 10 recruiting classes and over the last 10 years is number 3 or 4 in overall recruiting ranking. It's coaching staff is the highest paid staff in college football. It's stadium has consistently been rated the best in the country. It's fan base has consistently been ranked among the best. It's uniforms have been ranked the best or among the best. Because of the foregoing, I'd rank LSU easily a top 8 program and would make it number 5 behind Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, and USC.

Now, if the B12 screws the pooch on expansion and the Houston deal falls through you've probably got a good shot.

This is what's interesting about the Herman issue. Texas has gotten off to a good start, but what if they're a 3-4 loss team by November and out of the Big XII race? I think Herman's desire to remain at Houston is tied to them getting into the Big XII, right?

Since Texas controls EVERYTHING in the Big XII, would they torpedo Houston's admission into the conference to make it more likely that he'd be willing to jump to Texas if Strong's seat became hot again?

Herman is the hottest commodity this year and I'm not so sure that LSU is as sexy a job as the Tigers think they are. Herman doesn't have to go outside Houston's city limits to get top flight talent. LSU has to travel around a bit to get their recruits since the fence is down.

Just because they were roommates doesn't mean they like each other or can even get along to work together. Damn you are a sad bunch.
