OM beat Pitt and now they are internet badasses.
Yes, Ole Miss went 7-6 last year. But to be fair, the Rebels racked up several impressive moral victories against LSU, Texas A&M, and Vanderbilt.

By my count, Ole Miss only suffered one moral defeat (Arkansas).

SEC Position Rankings: Defensive Line

1. South Carolina
2. Florida
3. Arkansas
4. LSU
5. Ole Miss
6. Alabama
7. Vanderbilt
8. Kentucky
9. Georgia
10. Mississippi State
11. Missouri
12. Tennessee
13. Auburn
14. Texas A&M: The Aggies lost quality starters like Damontre Moore and Spencer Nealy and the injury bug devastated this unit during the spring. No one will replace Moore's 21 tackles for loss and 12.5 sacks, but A&M needs multiple guys to step up. Julien Obioha started 12 games as a true freshman last year, but has to stay healthy this fall, as he's the key to the entire line. He also has to generate a better pass rush. Tackle Kirby Ennis started 11 games last year, but ran into legal trouble before spring practice and was suspended, but is expected to return. Youngsters Alonzo Williams, Tyrone Taylor and Tyrell Taylor will be thrown into the mix this fall, but expect plenty of growing pains. Gavin Stansbury and Alonzo Williams have showed flashes here and there, but will have to much more consistent this fall.

If I am scheming against A&M this year I put my fastest LBs in the game, play cover 2 in a deep LB set in zone cover, play contain, and force Johnny to throw the deep ball. Then ground and pound with a play-action pass or two mixed in.

sounds like LSU football

Seriously, any Aggie with any sort of football knowledge would be concerned about Vandy, Ole Miss, Bama, and LSU without question. Still, Arkansas and Auburn will not likely lay down. Neither will MSU and injury-bugged Mizzou.

Damn. A rational aggie? What the....?

A&M shouldn't be cocky because y'all went 1-2 against the good teams you played

We went 3-2 against ranked teams and 2-2 against top fifteen teams. LSU went 2-3 against ranked teams and the same 2-3 against top fifteen teams.

Kyle Field official capacity for the 2014 season is 109,000.

After the 2014 season is complete the west side of the stadium will be torn down and rebuilt to include the new suites. This will reduce capacity to 102.500 beginning in the 2015 season.

LSU fans haven't gone through what we've gone through for the last 15 years.

Really? If you can't admit you lost your best defensive players, you're either an idiot or a complete homer.

We lost our best defensive player in Moore. We return our second best (Everett) and probably our third best (Jenkins) from last season. Despite Nealy's surprising year, Ennis was still the better DT.

We definitely have a good bit of talent to replace, but we are hardly void of defensive skill.

History has shown this doesn't work against offenses like A&M and Oregon. A&M lost the TOP battle in six of our wins last year, and Oregon has lost the TOP battle more often than not since Kelly took over.

If an offense is routinely scoring in 2-3 minutes, TOP becomes largely insignificant. It's an archaic stat that spread no huddle teams will tell you they don't even pay attention to.

Well, it depends. You assume constant scoring, but your defense did start to wear down. In Texas A&M's three biggest games, they were outscored in all of them in the final 3 quarters. Against Alabama they managed just enough of a buffer that the 9 points after the fact could win them the game; against Florida and LSU they didn't get enough of a buffer.

I'm not saying your theory is completely invalid, but there are pros and cons to the uptempo type of offense, in that if your offense fails to score, your D gets about a minute, tops, to rest. Ball control offenses can give their defenses several minutes to rest.

There's an upside and a downside to both - just like the Schwartz.

We have the same problem but magically a undersized NG is now supposed to be an asset.
