This. Teo's stats are fair to middlin. I think he's getting attention because he 1) Plays for ND 2) the sad story about his grandmother and girlfriend 3) ND's defense is admittedly good but I think its a team effort, its just not him alone.

Well, I think he is projected as a top 10 pick. He's good. Really good. Granted, I would give the trophy to JFF, but Teo should be the runner up.

They don't destroy Cam's numbers, but he will break them in less games, also keep in mind that he has sat for about 10 quarters this year due to excessive skull fricking of the opponents. Had he stayed in and padded his stats, yeah, I think he would have crushed Cam's numbers. At this point there is no amount of stat padding that can be done to sway voters. They will either suck it up and vote for him or they wont.

I like this. JFF derserves it more than a paid mercenary.

No Reggie Bush's or Cam's

He'll pass Cam against Mizzou, with one less game played.

Reggie Bush wasn't even the best RB on his team.

He deserves it, imo. But he might have to wait until next year if Manti Te'o has a big game against USC.

if Manziel wasn't a freshman it would be locked up already. Which is stupid because age/year shouldn't matter at all.

Being a freshman in this case should be a plus not a minus. That he's doing this his first year playing is crazy.

Who's that? Some linebacker with average numbers whose team has only played 1 top 40 offense and no top 10 offenses?

Those are really average numbers. I just don't see the love for Teo as a football player.

after Jske Holland goes off this week, the Heisman will be coming back to AU for the 4th time.

Jake Holland: a combination of Patrick Willis, Demeco Ryans, Takeo Spikes and Wade MF Christopher.

The trophy will be renamed the "Holland" Trophy after this year.

I sure hope Sumlin has these guys under control. The season ain't over and we still have business to take care of. They need to kick some Ruffian arse and remove all doubt. I still get the feeling that somehow, we're gonna frick it up. Got a bad case of Aggiefan Syndrome.

He will. We're going to hang 60+ on Mizzou and Sumlin will let Johnny actually see the Fourth Quarter.

I said 2 of the top 3 games....I understand he played well against Bama. However, padding stats against crap opponents all year and shitting the bed in 3 SEC games shouldnt win you the heisman

And how many teams of that caliber has Manti Te'o or the Irish even played? NONE.

A&M has played 3 of the top 5 defenses.

Maybe it's just me but I don't think I've ever heard Johnny Manziel interviewed.

A lot if Heisman winners have had off days. He was pretty decent against Florida, especially considering those were his first snaps as a college QB ever. LSU wasn't great, not going to argue, but he wasn't THE reason why we lost. As far as Ole Miss goes, the dude made clutch plays and led the team to a nice come from behind win. Isn't that what the SEC is all about? Playing good teams and finding ways to win?
