I am not certain of why this bothers you so, I wasn't bragging about the snubs. I only was suggesting it is impossible to put Arkansas and Auburn into the same conversation and used the number of times we have had a opportunity to be in the final National Title discussion as an example of the difference. I was not bragging on it more than simply replying to the arkie troll attempt.

I assume as I have watched you google info and then return to post you are younger. In '89 the three way tie wasn't unusual and other schools were awarded national titles after being tied for a conference championship in that era. The fact Auburn was chosen for a lower tier bowl has little to do with the quality of the team and everything to do with the desire to sell bowl tickets and generate TV ratings. In the 80's Auburn was coming out of the darkness of the 70's similar to when LSU finally woke up in the '00's. Bowls weren't as restricted to who they could choose back then and they always went with the "brand" schools.

'93 is the biggest stretch but again many pundits suggested up until the end of bowl season Auburn might win the AP, which was my original point. Then of course you are wrong about 2004,
