During bowl season, the only teams in the national title discussion are the ones playing in the game.

Auburn has won a title in that time frame and been in the discussion another five times

So please explain...

How old are you? In the 50 years I referenced the BCS/Playoff system has been in place less than half of that time.

'83, '89, '93 (edit), '04, '10, '13 so it was actually six …During the pre-BCS era the outcome of multiple bowl games determined the national title. In most years there were 5 or 6 teams with reasonable opportunities to be the national champions.

Pretty sure Auburn was not in the BCS title discussion in 2004.

That is fair, but many analyst suggested for an entire Holiday Season Auburn still had a chance to win the AP poll. I.E. Auburn was in the title discussion through the bowl season. As an LSU fan I know how it irks you to recognize split titles during the BCS era.

since then a bunch of shite slinging and exaggeration of the truth

Can some one remind lefty that Auburn has five times as many 11 win (or more) seasons than the Hogs since they joined the SEC. 10 win season arent what they used to be when Ark was in the SWAC.

I really needed a break from 17-0 and John Chavis.

FYI: The '89 team didn't even claim the conference title and the '92 team finished with a .500 record.

i wish that stupid 1 year running jump penalty, that was never called again, never happened. would have saved you auburn fans a lot of depression over being 3rd place in the nation.

More discipline would have caused your guy to play by the rules. Auburn would have won in OT anyway.

Can some one remind lefty that Auburn has Twice as many post season bowl wins (10) than the Hogs (5) since they joined the SEC.

Arky fan arguing "achievements" and they have won just 5 bowl games in the last 30 years? Please note that that does not count Arky losing to Auburn in the 84 Liberty bowl.
