Even the celebration by Auburn after the game seemed subdued. Maybe it was the broadcast. Everything just seemed weird and forced for a championship game that Auburn won in the last seconds. All Chizik could say was "War Eagle."

I give Auburn full respect for the team they were. Theu were the best in 2010. I also think they have potential to be good every year. I am just talking about the overall lack of excitement for this championship.

No... the only ones claiming cheating are the ones that know Cecil shopped his son to Miss St for 180k, and arent buying the lame arse excuse that Cam didnt know. No one hated on LSU, Florida, or Bama for winning theirs. Yea thats right cause there were no pay for play allegations. Get your head out of your arse....hahaha

You believe what you want to believe...when there is ambiguity/unanswered questions, peolple draw from it what they will, what supports what they want to believe.

So let me get this straight...in all the evidence that the FBI/NCAA/SEC has that any of us know about, Cam was involved in zero conversations concerning money and had in fact, left the decision up to his dad. So the only other way Cam knew, is if Cecil told him about it. Cecil is a preacher and while he may have done a poor job, he did raise him family within a Christian framwork. So you are telling me and everyone else that it is crystal clear that Cam knew (because his dad told him), when it would have shamed Cecil to do so and would have accomplished absolutely nothing?

Sorry pal...he may have known, but it impossible to even hone in on a probability based on what we know. Another example of people willing to do the jedi mind frick on themselves to feel better about the circumstances.

Again...let me point out the most of the hate is coming from LSU and Bama fans...both currently under self-imposed or NCAA sanctions. Got irony? Got butthurt? How about a dash of hypocrisy?

tell you what, since the rest of the SEC is so touchy about our BCSNC how about you just return those 2 million $ plus checks to AU for that huge bowl payout .... plenty of jealousy from both the LSU and UAT fanbases here...

This.

That year (2003) is still fresh in my mind and why I will despise USC football until the day I die.

Yup. I said it.

BYU 1984

I suspect that half the teams in the top ten in 1984 could have beat BYU. they only played 6-6 Michigan in the Holiday bowl.
Mich was not among the top 3 in their own conference.

Auburn won the SEC and beat the Pac 10 champ.

Aubie > BYU.

So.. aubie is #2, least respected champion. Aubie is recognized as superior on the field, which BYU was not.

Aubie is spat upon, for being the criminals they are.
That kind of DISRESPECT, will never clean up.

This time next year nobody will even remember that Auburn won it.

Except barners of course.

Least celebrated champions of all time.

I made a point of posting USC quotes in a Cam thread a while back.

Some of these guys say the EXACT same things.

Uncanny.

I expect a similar outcome in a similar timeframe.

What I mean is that they talked a lot about God, had all the kids going to church twice a week, read and quoted the bible, etc... he was supposed to be a man of God...he was supposed to be someone that Cam looked up to. This would have changed the way that Cam viewed his father, negatively and in a big way. So if Cecil didn't have to tell him, why the hell would he??? My personal opinion is that Cecil reconciled doing this because he was planning on spending the money on the church. But that's just my guess and probably what I want to believe. It makes a hell of a lot more sense though than everyone else theory that Cam had to know...and then backing that up without even a logical reason why he would have to know, let alone a shred of proof.

I think you are correct when you say "that's just my guess and probably what I want to believe"

By all appearances Cam and Cecil are extremely close and it's extremely hard to believe that Cam wasn't told by Cecil what was going on when he committed to Auburn after trying to hit up MSU for cash

It's a very important topic and they appear to have a pretty open and honest relationship - the logical thing to assume is that Cam was kept in the loop by Cecil but they realized the NCAA would let them at least temporarily skate if they lied about Cam knowing

Was it Michigan? I remember OSU but doesn't matter I remember it being a pitful game and all. Auburn deserves respect on the field and they have mine.

As far LSU sanctions that investigation I believe is closed already.

I expect a similar outcome but in a much shorter timeframe. USC didn't have the feds snooping around. Those dudes don't play like the NCAA.
