Why don't you guys tear down your stadium, disband football and move your campus to Cape Girardeau where you can do Roman Sea Battles all the live long day on the Mississippi River?

Because you can't host Roman sea battles on the Mississippi due to the current. If you started the battle in Cape Girardeau it would finish in Memphis.

Come on, bruh...you're smarter than that, aren't you?

What's wrong with that?

How do you suppose you sell ticket to that event? I mean, the spectators would have to drive along the river just to watch the battle unfold. What if the river road detoured away from the river? People would demand their money back!

Bizarre story and I actually would love to see something like that but then I'm into history.

Bro, spectators would ride in boats along the shoreline. You could create a spectator lane. It would be brilliant!

If schools weren't so obsessed with foosball we'd be able to witness events like this from time-to-time.

Of course Mizzou had to be the first to do something so cool (other than the Romans themselves) just like we were the first to celebrate homecoming...

also you may have been the first team to lose on a "fifth down", not all things are worth or should be celebrated.

I don't know, I don't think my football obsession had much to do with not being alive in 1938. I'll check into it, though.

I can't believe some of you think this actually happened or could happen. Kills made all of that crap up.

dude, I'm not that creative! I mean I admit I'm good at MSPaint drawings involving circle jerks...but I'm not a master storyteller.

Yea, I'm officially throwing the challenge flag out on this story.

The only 2 Google hits for Jiddu Aurubindi are from the SECRant within the last 45 minutes.

No surprise to anyone that this great story has gotten little coverage.
Mizzou gets no respect.

You would think that with a LEGION of sports writing alumni that Missouri would get FLOODED with coverage.
