He's being held out by Ole Miss. Not the NCAA

I hope so. He's a great player and I never want to see someone held out of a game unless it's really necessary.

(Psst. God - ignore that. hold him out!)

No.

I might get reamed for voicing my concern here, but consider me officially pessimistic about his chances of seeing the field against Bama.

Man, that's terrible. I hope that gets straightened out soon.

(Hello, NCAA? I just thought it my moral duty to let you know that Chad Kelly is giving his extra steroids to Robert Nkemdiche, and they both are selling autographed jerseys to pay for it.)

However, Freeze just pulled the greatest trolljob of the offseason by claiming there was a QB "controversy" the entire time.

bullshite. That ruse fell hard when Kelly took his first in-game snaps.

Maybe he's doing the same with Tunsil?

It's a self imposed 2 game suspension, but we aren't calling it that. We say we are "holding him out for precautionary reasons" and after two games, we can release him to play after all is clear. That way, we/LT don't have to admit guilt and can stil win the press conference

Coaching staff is trying to wait until they catch up on Game Of Thrones.

IMO Ole Miss is being held hostage by the stupid actions of the IHL that left them with a Lame Duck temporary Chancellor that can't see the compliance staff is being lead by an individual who's ultimate goal is to join the NCAA team (these are all rumors I have heard from some bigtime boosters and then reaffirmed by the rumors from the beat writers). If the issue is what is it supposedly was, the 2 games is more than enough compared to some recent situations in the SEC. Unfortunately the Compliance Staff won't step up against the NCAA (because of personal goals) and the "Lame Duck" isn't doing anything to force the issue other than collecting an inflated paycheck.

I am hearing that the Athletic Department has their hands tied by Compliance. They have been told they can't play him until the NCAA clears him and no one from Administration has forced the issue, nor will they. Thus I would say indefinite suspension and considering how "speedy" the NCAA we may not see him play another game for Ole Miss.

I think we will see him again but I'm thinking it won't be until at least Florida if we wait until the ncaa makes a final decision.

I've never understood what takes them so long to make decisions. What possible new evidence could they be gathering? It just seems like they are saying we know you did something wrong but we can't prove it so we are going to take our time deciding so we get to punish you a little at least

Restitution has been made (supposedly) and he has sat out 2 games. If it is for what I have been told it's something that is afforded me and I never have to pay for. The Compliance Staff is at fault. They could grow a set of balls and force the issue.....but won't because their leader wants a position at the NCAA....freaking sucks when someone's personal ambitions get in the way of taking care of their current institution.
