I think he has in terms of not going for it all on every play. He is less likely to scramble this season, less likely to look down one receiver, and more likely to check down.

Will this translate to a better performing Tua in big games? We don’t know yet, but it certainly looks like he won’t get completely shut down like he did last season against Georgia and Clemson.

I would take him over Burrow in a heartbeat.

Yes, Sark has done a fantastic job with him imo.

He will be forced to do more once Bama plays a good offense, which will in turn make him a better player.

I would assume playing against the Bama D in fall practice is one hell of a training process.

He absolutely has. He's reading defenses, going through progressions, taking what the defense gives him. We are trying to move methodically down the field, only problem is our receivers are so good after the catch they keep taking ball control plays to the house.

Yes. He's the best QB since JFF.

He has gotten better at checking down and taking what the defense gives him. Until the defenses prove they can stop it, he is going to continue going short to his playmakers.

Absolutely! Remember this; tua was playing on a hurt knee and high ankle sprain due to some terrible and questionable hits on his lower leg for the last half of the season. Prior to that he was lighting up the scoreboards like a pinball machine when healthy. Hoping that he can get fthrough this year without any significant injuries.

Not at all. Despite the weak ankles, Tua is much more similar to an early Steve Young. An inch or two shorter, but he's a more accurate passer at this stage. Both were much more mobile than they looked.

Look up his qb rating on balls thrown over 10 yds and completion percentage.
Also, the number of times he's thrown past 10 yds vs all the top 5 qbs in tbe SEC.

NUFF SAID!

I honestly wanted to ask something similar of the Bama fans on the Rant. I know the answers will vary. Some of you probably know a lot about football and can evaluate talent. Some of us, not so much.

But I'm curious what sort of pro those of you that watch Tua think he'll be. Honestly, I haven't watched any of his games except against LSU and the NC. The rest are just highlights and his receivers are always open and he has a ton of time. Does he ever have to squeeze the ball into tight coverage and does he do it well, etc.

Really not trying to troll guys. And the fact that his guys are open is a compliment to their team.

Tua was already advanced with his pre snap reads last year....this year, he's reading post snap and he self admittedly, he's taking what the defense gives him. Sark's scheme has tones down his aggressiveness but really increased Tua's efficiency and mistake probability.

The few times I have seen him, yes, he seems to be reading things better. It is hard to tell because his receives get so damn wide open.
