LSU has done this every year since A&M joined the SEC so not sure if this is new.

yep, 2000 Bama, was preseason 3, and i think they won 3 or 4 games that year

2005 VOLS were preseason #2 and did not make a bowl.

Arkansas 2012 we were ranked top 10 but we fired our coach at a bad time of year.

USC started preseason at #1 in 2012 and finished unranked, first time a preseason #1 had done that in like 50 years.

Every year there's usually at least 1 preseason top 10 team that completely bombs out.

Auburn and Oklahoma have pretty much made it part of their program's DNA.
