I don't know how AU fans sold out on Gus' offense and didn't think the SEC coaches wouldn't adjust and catch up. Gus is too stubborn for AUs own good. Why couldn't he see that his play calling was unproductive by mid season?

You'd give your left nut for a coach half as competent as Miles.

I'm not that high on Miles tbh. Seems like he skates by on talent a lot of the time and when the talent gap isn't there he struggles.

He still has a chance to prove himself

Bielema's record over his first three seasons at Wisconsin:

12-1
9-4
7-6

Pretty similar to Malzahn's record at Auburn.

Bielema then rattled off 3 10+ win seasons in a row.

Y'all finish with top ten classes all the time you just have nothing to show for it.

I mean, we've won 2 sec championships and 1 national championship in the past 5. Gus was a part of all of them.

Youre right, but Cam going beast mode and a massive amount of luck (2013) are what won you those things.

The answer is Kevin Sumlin. 5 million a year and they've gotten zero return.

Hell, Malzhan is a bargain compared to what A&M is paying and getting from Sumlin.

I know a lot of people aren't but there were people just yesterday that were showing how fooled they were in the SEC COTY thread.

If being a part is the only criteria, then Richt won a National Championship.

We had above average luck in 2013 but not a massive amount. Gus just made fantastic coaching decisions, Like putting a man back to return a field goal from a kicker to up to that point had not been very good.

Actually he's more like Obama, the longer he's the HC the more screwed up the program reveals itself to be.

I legitimately thought he had a step on everyone else as far as offensive philosophy goes. Thought that combined with Saban's (at the time) inability to adjust the not getting to substitute on defense with the HUNH meant a lot of good things for us operating in the SEC West.

I still don't understand how people didn't see what would happen. The non HUNH teams would adjust. They were not going to sit back and do nothing and Malzhan had no answer once he lacked a QB and the other schools adjusted.

Bielema wasn't in the SEC West.

Uh. We had the most revenue in college football last year:

LINK

That was the third highest revenue total ever, and the highest revenue total in the SEC ever.

Even at $5 million a year Sumlin's ROI is off the charts.
