It does not make Auburn better or worse for any SEC team to win or lose any game in which Auburn is not a participant
The fact that Bama was from the SEC (and that we played them close the first time) is one of the main things that got us back in the Title game vs LSU. You think AU would have got a shot at the title if they played in the Big East? Please.

I don't see where it has faded. The only team I religiously pull against is MSU. And that's simply because I don't want them to succeed on a national level for recruiting.
But everywhere else I still pull for SEC against OOC games.

I personaly hope that LSU and Auburn get blown out in every bowl game for now until forever. I have a feeling that the feeling is mutuial. I say just root for your team, and boo your rivals and laugh at their failures.

This whole "SEC Unity" shite is fricking pathetic.
Nailed it. Frick SEC unity. Every team in this conference hates us and I hate them back.
We recruit the same players so why would I want a team that might outduel Bama for a recruit to have success that might be used against us. Also, opposing boosters and coaching staff will turn us in in a heartbeat for anything we do, so NO unity here. Hell Croom was the worst and he flipping played here.

^^this...also facebook, twitter, Youtube...now that we are communicating with other fan bases daily, you start to really hate the other teams just because of their fan base, just by the stuff they say/post on here...it was a lot better when I didn't know or spoke to a georgia/lsu/ut fan I would pull for that team just because they were in the SEC, but now some fans make me never want to see those teams win a game.

Civil unrest is coming to America.. it's starting with the dissolving of SEC allegiance.

The chants and how we all backed each other up is what got the attention of people
No winning the game got the attention of people...what few fans said at the end of a gator bowl means nothing.
And you can win the game without my support.
And again, this was all a myth. No one likes anyone anymore or any less in 2008 to 2011.

I don't acknowledge the "BCSNCG" as a real championship.
Until there is a real playoff, with real qualified teams we are just watching whatever the pundits tell us to watch.
I don't live and die on who gets in the BCS.
I do consider the modern SECCG to be a true championship game, but they need to adopt a 9 game schedule with the East-West crossover games rotated more frequently (don't play Bama-UT, AU-UGA every year.

but I am not shedding a tear if Oregon or Stanford beat another SEC school.
Of course I won't either, I'm just saying it does help AU for them to win their OOC games throughout the year.

It was gone when we added those non-southern teams

I now root for SEC teams against out of conference teams for the same reason I used to root for Big 12 teams (except Nebraska-never), it makes my team look better if they are in a tough conference. Any team from a lower level conference is suspect just because of the competition they go against. For example if a miracle happens and somehow Mizzou would win its next three games (GA, FL, SC) no one around the country would question how good they are, whereas Louisville may go undefeated this year and still no one will really know how good they are because they are in a weak conference.

Back in 08-11 when ever an SEC team played out of conference (especially in the bigger games) everyone would unite and cheer for the team.
I don't remember too many SEC fans that pulled for Auburn in 2010. There was a few but the majority didn't.

The fact that the crystal football hasn't left the State of Alabama in 4 years has something to do with it.
When it was being passed around there was a lot of pride because we wanted the country to KNOW the SEC was the best. Now that they know, it isn't as much fun.
