According to Bama posters here, they are shocked anybody has a problem with it. Even other present and former players who have been interviewed and blasted him. Those never happened and are a lie.

I don't care what he said. I just think it's hilarious that bama fans think this won't come back on him at all. Again, he's probably right, but I doubt he's gaining any popularity with his teammates after his comments.

Well probably not. I mean I don't fault him for saying what he said. Could people be pissed off at him. I'm sure. They ARE selfish individuals. What he said was true and if his team mates are mad bc he said they are selfish, which he doesn't even call anyone out individual, then they need a reality check.

ETA: I think it is a non issue to be honest. He didn't say enough to warrant a lynching. He didn't say anything that we didn't know. It is what it is.

ETA2: When you have:

A.) A QB that doesn't stand up for anything.
B.) Your "captain" of the team acting like an idiot and his team mates tell him basically to STFU and get off the field bc there are people here wanting to win the game and still believe they can do it. (Dolphin game)
C.) Your "captain" and your QB, other leader, get into a fight during the season.
D.) Locker room cancers like Cromartie.
E.) Fail to make the playoffs.

What McElroy said is the least of their problems. I'm sure McElroy was just trying to be a vocal leader, step up and do what is right and try to right the ship

I have not seen anyone say that they are shocked that anyone has a problem with it, I just personally don't see anything wrong with it, and I feel like I have a pretty good argument.

I think he's right. A man shouldn't be afraid to tell the truth. He was tactful enough to wait until the season's over. I have more respect for him now than I've ever had.

Not exactly an apt comparison...Saban doesn't even allow his assistant coaches to speak to the media, of course he's gonna object to players saying ANYTHING.

That's funny, I swear I saw Bama's OC on ESPN today talking about their offense. I guess Satan does "ALLOW" them to speak?

Ahhhhh....I knew I'd hear this, to the point I almost added it to my post. All assistants are required to be made available for SECCG and bowl media events. Thats the ONLY time you'll see a Bama assistant on TV.

Sorta how you fricktards made it rain bottles after AU spanked that arse in JHW several years ago and put an AU player in the hospital when your fans hit him in the eye with a full bottle as the teams were leaving the field.

It was just David Irons... no potential for brain damage there.
