We have all the pieces to field a good defense. The offense has the potential to be okay, not great. But to watch a coach continually squander good opportunities and momentum by playing a game of musical QBs is one of the most infuriating things I've ever seen as a fan.

I think Malzahn is so arrogant and so stubborn that he thinks he can plug and play with anybody and it will work, and he is just waiting on a QB to show something. I don't think he is a bad offensive mind, but I do think he does nothing in the way of QB development and very little in the way of adjusting anything to fit the players we have on the roster.

I think we had a legit possibility of fielding a really good team led by a very good defense and it's all going to go to waste because our offense looks like a confused, disorganized mess.

If you want to see more stubbornness, watch his post game presser.

There was no rhyme or reason to the quarterback changes. He seemed to be flipping just about every other play. I had never seen anything like that.

You got White or JF3 leading a good drive? Better for no reason switch out for Jeremy Johnson who never does anything right ever.

Sounds like a solid plan to me.

Gus is very arrogant and stubborn. He thinks that simple offense he runs was going to last more than a year or two before people figured it out. Cam Newton and Nick Marshall made that offense work, not him.

It would be interesting to see what their ypc was with JFIII in the game, it seemed fairly high

Chris Todd made it work. Gus' strength was that he worked with what he had. He didn't try and fit square pegs in round holes. He has gone away from that for some reason. What that reason is?......that's the million dollar question.

I nominate God complex.

Must suck to be an offensive guru that fields a shite offense every week.

I haven't yet watched the entire game but just off the cuff. He had Auburn in a place to win late in the game.

Seriuosly, if he really doesn't know what QB to use, I would play one for an entire quarter, the other for the next quarter, then the 3rd for the 3rd quarter. Whoever played the best for their quarter, plays the 4th.
And then settle on one. Maybe bring in JJ on short yardage plays, etc. or something like that.

Watch the game, the score is misleading.

Auburn almost won in spite of him. If he called anything close to a good game, we win the football game.

JJ theoretically works for short yardage plays but he doesn't use his size to run with power. He dances delicately like a flower and gets stuffed almost every time.

No he didn't. Kevin Steele and the defense? Dabo being a bonehead? Yes. Gus did very little to help last night.

Clemson was there for the taking and Gus blew it. Clemson has a whole new secondary and AU doesnt throw it down field until the last 2 minutes of the game, and it worked. All those fakes and spin arounds were not getting it done. Keep running it up in there every time. All we heard is that White got the job because he could pass better and then he doesn't even get a chance to prove himself.

Auburn should have 100% won that game last night. Even a bad offense could have scored enough points to do that. Gus couldn't even coach a bad offense.

Why even announce White is the starter if all 3 QBs play by the end of the second series? It's such a joke.

This... IMO, Auburn SHOULD have won that game.. Defense is legit.. If Gus figures out how to properly manage his offense, then they'll make some noise...

It's looks like this is the best defense he has had and he is killing the offense with his play calling.
