I hope they play a replay of the Kick 6 every time bama lines up for a field goal in JHS from here to eternity...just to troll them.

Attending games used to be fun. I don't need a scoreboard distracting me every down at a live event

Are you a fricking moth that's drawn to bright lights? Don't look at it.

I would show a huge picture of the sun everytime Auburn punted or kicked off in the direction where the away team was looking at the board.

I'm not dogging Malzahn, but that's weird.
Ours was brand new and enormous last year, and I don't think Sumlin ever mentioned it.
Once the stadium is filled with fans and game day activities, it won't seem like the big deal to his team that he's currently making it out to be.
In an empty stadium, all live jumbotrons are bright.

Not a direct quote, but....

Sumlin says "For whatever reason, we have probably been a better road team than home team."

It's a fleeting comment presumably in response to a question. And to you that's making a big deal out of it?

C'mon, you're being absurd.

I don't doubt for a second it was a response to a question, and I didn't insult the guy.
No need to knight for him.
He said, "I want to get our players used to it, because it's a factor. It's a big factor."
I simply responded that on game day, it likely won't be the distraction he may anticipate it to be.

Reporter: Hey coach, what do you think of the new scoreboard?

Malzahn: What scoreboard? We didn't even notice it. Next question.

The damn thing is very bright. When I saw it turned on, I wondered how long til opposing coaches complained about it. I could see it being a factor in receivers being able to catch the ball without distraction, etc.

You don't have to insult someone to be absurd.

Yea...we also pump noise in. It's called preparation.

Pointing out how silly you're being doesn't equal "knight(ing) for him."

Gigantic screens to distract you. Jerseys that are ungrabbable.

Why doesn't Auburn just rely on their actual skill and prowess?

Lets go back to wooden drivers (Golf), non-aluminum bats, wooden rackets, old style helmets with no facemasks..
